Proactiveness and target oriented approach must be given priority in the process. This will enhance the transformational leadership.

This isn’t unusual. I’ve found that it’s simple: all three options can work—establishing transparent criteria, encouraging open dialogue, and rotating leadership roles to balance power. The best results come from using a mix of these strategies. Ultimately, the true solution is to be a leader who walks the talk, one who leads by example—being someone who genuinely believes in and actively promotes equality and fairness within the team.

Be objective. A good indicator of objectivity is also having policies in place and enforcing them well. Be also very cautious about decisions that can create precedence.
-
First, finalize the problem statement. Get everyone's viewpoint. Do an objective analysis of every viewpoint. Try to use a Pareto. Every idea is a good idea. But if the intentions are bad, avoid it. Once the analysis is complete, align it with the company's vision. If it does, ask everyone to agree and implement. If not go back to the problem statement

Face the facts. Who has power? Position? Authority? And yet what is the "right" or "best" solution and why? Set a standard that everyone is there to contribute, collaborate, and wrestle with the issue. If an authority wants to make the decision, the "buy-in" will be insincere at best, and the trust factor is done for some of the team. I'd pose the question - what are some ideas to resolve this issue? All answers are welcome. Is it possible to get some comment from everyone? Then boil out what will become the best direction and be sure to ask "why" in this process. I'd seek to leave the meeting with everyone believing the best decision was made and they will fully support it. Be sure to thank all who contributed. It is a "team" victory. rb

To mitigate power dynamics and ensure a fair decision-making process, it is crucial to establish a clear and transparent framework that prioritizes inclusivity and objectivity. By implementing structured decision-making processes, such as weighted voting systems or consensus-building approaches, teams can level the playing field and prioritize diverse perspectives. Moreover, fostering a culture of psychological safety and open communication empowers team members to contribute their ideas without fear of judgment or retribution. By prioritizing these principles, teams can make more informed, equitable, and effective decisions.

To ensure fair decision-making amidst power dynamics, acknowledge any imbalances and foster an inclusive environment where all voices are heard. Use transparent processes, encourage constructive feedback, and involve the team in decisions through democratic approaches when appropriate. Rotating leadership roles and seeking neutral facilitation for critical decisions can further balance power. Regularly review team dynamics to adapt and maintain fairness, creating a respectful and empowering atmosphere for all.
