As a general advice for Short term scenario: - Reassess Working Capital including doubtful receivables. - Reassess revenue guidance / forecast / order book - Re-Project availability of liquidity in worst case scenario and in normal scenario - Based on worst case scenario - assess your credit requirement, tenure, repayment terms, prepayment benefits. - Projections should factor in all unfavourable possibilities - that can give comfort to the lenders regarding debt servicing. PS: Views are fully and completely personal and not of the group or organisation I work for.

First we should recognize that negotiating extended terms is an act of strength and not weakness. + Negotiating is better than default. + Simulate your cashflows. + Make realistic repayment commitments. + Consider smaller over balloon repayments. + Do not corner yourself.

Propose a repayment plan that gradually increases over time (matching your expected cash flow), or consider offering a specific, achievable repayment extension based on your peak revenue periods (emphasising that this is a short term measure) ensuring that you’re not asking to reduce the debt but only to shift the timing to align with your strongest cash inflows. This way, they see it as a temporary flexibility rather than a long term adjustment, making it easier to agree without feeling they’re taking on extra risk.
