We need to ensure that requirements are Technically feasible & business viable . This technology space is dynamically changing but most of the enterprise doesn’t have the eco system to support an enterprise roll out . Selection of small use case for piloting within a controlled environment is key . This will make it easier to manage the cyber security , infrastructure requirements. Open communication with senior stakeholders on the purpose of providing project should be key . These projects are not going to give benefits immediately after the roll out . We need stakeholders who are ready to take leap of faith in innovation with the team .

I will always consider the objective and end-user requirements rather than the technology. Once the desired outcomes are defined, I will consider the best way to achieve them, including traditional means such as video, slideshow, lectures, and paper-based, as well as technology, including VR, AR, and MR. Multiple factors must be considered, including cost, scalability, ease of authoring/change, IP rights and end-user capabilities. Once all these things are considered and VR ticks the most boxes, you should be confident that your project will be achievable and impactful.

Once a stable environment is set up, I move to scripting interactive objects, gradually adding complexity. Have quality hardware and software evaluations. Have SMEs that have a practical knowledge of the current standard devices and good understanding of the current trends. Have the SMEs maintain a relationship with numerous platform and SaaS providers so that they can give your project "realistic" expectations from the start. Else if the design is advance work with platform partners to develop the solution with you. If your project is failing to meet the goals you planned your SMEs lack the "practical knowledge" for the project initial planning.

Just because immersive tech is trendy (and I love it so much) doesn't mean it's the most effective. We're still in the early adoption phase of VR, so demonstrating clear ROI is hard. Stakeholders will appreciate a practical approach, based on VR's suitability rather than its novelty. This involves identifying the problem VR solves, measuring its impact, and ensuring it aligns with project goals and financial constraints. Balancing innovation with practical outcomes is key to keeping projects feasible.

All of that and... Again I cant repeat myself enough, fail fast. Come to testable version and see how much you can push it or scale down to get within that sweat spot of performance and visually still acceptable. Try not to be innovative in tech, but in ideas and solutions
