Will try to engage with and connect with other people by showing genuine interest and asking questions, listening, and looking at the person. Additionally, Prepare a short yet captivating self-introduction and include the significant contribution you can make. Have a good attitude, be self-assured, and also, take the time to reconnect with other people after the event.

1. Ice breaker - What brought you here today? Or how do you know/hear about the speaker/person/company hosting the event? Then let them talk. Those open-ended questions are non intrusive ways to open the conversation and at the same time discover some of their goals & motivations. 2. Confirm what they are asking... "Oh you are trying to accomplish XYZ - repeat it back in your words to make sure you understand what they are saying. Or ask more questions if you do not understand. 3. Be a resource, today! Have you spoken to blank person at this event? Introduce them if possible (be remembered by 2 ppl). Or give them your info to send them the info later. 4. Follow up in 3 days - Just checking in to see if you were able to [blank]?
