A responsabilidade é algo não se terceiriza, como dono da planta é importante que o tomador de serviço diligencie e garanta o correto serviço dos contratados. La verdad es que según mi experiencia la mejor forma es el control y las auditorías que se realizan a los contratistas, de tal forma de asegurarnos que lo que se debe hacer este hecho y junto con esto verificar que se vaya actualizando y trabajando de manera constante para que no solo sea papel sin sentido.

Form a relationship with the subcontractors, and ensure you share the same values. Systems fail because they don't interact well or support each other. Start with the basics and make sure your on the same page.

In addition to the ideas you have already posted, you need your subs to partner with your organization. This can be achieved through mentorship with other well established imbedded contractors/company safety professionals or by having them become a part of your contractor safety team. (Regular attendance and participation at contractor safety meetings or committees, including giving presentations and completing safety walks. Make them feel a part of the team!

Verify all certification. Check their peoples resume's. Interview with deck plate managers and ensure their safety Culture matches yours. Annual Audits of process's. Check with past companies or current clients to see how they are fitting in with their culture.

Contractual agreements e.g. in South Africa with guidance from OHS Act of 1993 which include the signing of Section 37(2) Agreement. 3. Implementation of suitable corrective measures to address any non-compliances. 7.Regularly review compliance processes to ensure continuous improvement.
