As per my view we need to focus on following - 1) Lean practices - we should rigorously work on VSA, VSD and VSM to reduce waste and make processes robust. Single piece flow and pull systems to be implemented. 2) Help of AI and Visual tools - To make processes robust we should implement AI into the business processes like cloud data stoarge for best practices and machine predictive maintenace. We can also use visualization tools to penitrate all the best practices to down the line. 3) Employee engagement and skill development - As all the efforts will go to waste if the workforce is not efficient to take advantage of that. 4) Data and KPI driven processes 5) Introduction of sustainabilty in product design phase as well.

In order to achieve both speed and sustainability at plant, some improvements can be suggested like: - To perform layout study to make the operations more compact (space optimization) by reducing the distances of the movements; - To implement predictive and preventive maintenance to reducing the breakdowns caused by process failures; - To stablish an energy optimization program replacing high consuming machines by more efficient and economic ones; - To replace part of energy supply if possible by alternative clean sources of energy (solar, bio clean fuels from renewable sources).

Cultivate the thirst of change and to all stakeholders . Operations is only a portion of a product manufacturing process. The planning team should empathise the needs and pains of manufacturing process and design the facilities. Manufacturing team should accept the gaps in the facilities and support to meet the timelines of proto and pilot batch production. Unless validation of product will get delayed. This way we can ensure the speed. To sustain the process, the engineering team should hold the hands with the manufacturing team always to fill the left out gaps in the initial stages. Also , ensure the process of standardization. So, that the team could sustain the established process.

For achieving speed now a days we must adapt and implement IOT. Also concept of autonomous maintenance help to achieve speed by reducing breakdown. For sustainability implementation of best practice in terms of safety, waste management and energy optimization can be added advantage.

TPM Implementation is the best option. Here all the stake holders are equally important and participated. Dedication of the whole team members and the clarity of each and everyone's responsibilities are well defined in this system.
