Usually I've found that it happens because I didn't practice enough and forgot some of the key points I wanted to hit because I got too excited in the moment. Next time try to practice by physically speaking out the full end to end narrative multiple times, time yourself to see where you land and focus on key statements that act as connective tissue across topics or key points - also a joke at the beginning always goes a long way! :)

This is a tough one. So many cultures where tough/direct factual feedback is fine, so many where this is rude or harsh. Where are you, where are they from? Do you know if this is "normal" or harsh from the perspective of the person providing feedback? Regardless, first I would check the above with a trusted advisor. Then I would suggest approaching the feedback person after the session, potentially some time later depending on relationships and the above perhaps by email. After this criticism i have practiced loud voice & use of water sips during presentation which was helpful. Another criticism was that i use long pauses during presentation. So, I have practiced frequent speaches to increase my speed and reduce the long pauses. The more practice you make, more skills you got.
