What do you do if you want to showcase your passion for technological innovation in an interview?

Na entrevista em si o interessante é você alavancar as habilidades que mais tem "match" com a vaga que você está prestando, porém se quiser deixar claro que você é um entusiasta em inovação, pode trazer algumas características quando for se apresentar, como o que gosta de ler, aprender e etc. Além disso, você pode, conforme for falando de sua experiência, mostra de que forma a inovação impactou seus resultados e articular esse conhecimento a seu favor. Melhor do que só gostar de inovação é ter esse mindset e saber identificar o impacto que essa característica traz.

An interview is a different game. Don't use the buzzwords and try to use it if you don't know the details. People who stand out in interviews might not have better outputs later or vice-versa. Passion is deeply curated inside you. To showcase your passion, you can't be specific. I would look for the personality and different factors to understand whether candidates have a passion.

Being able to show what you have learned from your personal projects, and how you have applied that learning, is key in my opinion. In my instance, I have tried to give examples of both the technical skills I have deepened (by having control over the end-to-end solution), as well as examples of personal capabilities I have worked on (e.g. patience or perseverance) to showcase the holistic nature of my learning.

Innovation stems from the refusal to accept the status quo, the ability to question it, and the drive to implement change. During the interview, highlight examples of how your creativity and passion for innovation have successfully added value to customers, the organization, or both. It's important to provide specific instances to demonstrate this. While you may naturally be passionate and creative, as you know, interviewers are looking for concrete proof of your abilities. They want to confirm that you can not only excel individually but also contribute significantly to the success of their organization.

If you have some projects, pocs that is great. It will be easy to explain. Don't brag too much about it. Find the balance. Be specific on which area of projects, you like to focus on. Try to showcase your approaches, and how you handled problems, not the frameworks, or libraries.

If you can showcase that you have a willingness to continuously learn eventually you will improve. If you do not learn then it is impossible. In an interview, I don't like very specifics rather want to know the personal habits. Do you have learning as a part of your regular lifestyle? Just mentioning one specific good source where you consume content will stand out more than some random names from the internet.

In my opinion, Narrating a story: Share a compelling narrative about a moment when your passion for innovation led to a breakthrough or creative solution, emphasizing the journey and lessons learned. Interactive demonstration: Prepare a brief prototype to showcase a novel idea or technology you’re passionate about, allowing the interviewer to engage directly with your innovation. Discussing thought experiments: what if” questions that challenge traditional thinking and demonstrate your ability to think outside the box and innovate. Presenting a vision statement: Articulate a clear and inspiring vision for the future of technology in your field, outlining how you plan to contribute to innovation and drive positive change.
