How do you stay passionate when growing your business?

It’s challenging to stay passionate consistently in the business as monotony, adversity, and a lot of work build up. Many of us go through it and a few things have been helpful: 1. Revisit the purpose you had and see if it still aligns with the work you are doing. 2. Reflect on your progress- reminders from team members or friends that you are bringing value to the company is helpful. 3. Change up the routine- we can do a lot of work in different environments. Doing a phone call while walking in nature can be refreshing and inspiring. 4. Talk to your peers - they can also help our motivation, creativity, and encouragement. It’s not easy but doing meaningful things in the long term is what many people are searching for.

I agree that finding your purpose is crucial to leading a contented and joyful life. Not just what you do, but also why you do it, is important. You can overcome any obstacles and keep your attention on your influence when you have a mission that is both clear and meaningful.

Discovering purpose in entrepreneurship is a journey that enriches not just your business but also your life. Start by looking inward. What are your passions, values, and strengths? Define your core values; they will guide your decisions and actions. Purpose often stems from addressing a problem or fulfilling a need. Listen to your community and find out what issues resonate with you. Create a vision statement that reflects your long-term aspirations. Think about the impact you want to make. Purpose-driven entrepreneurship is about making a positive difference in the world. Collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations. Building a network of support and inspiration is crucial.

Always celebrate small wins, Always. It's super easy to get lost while building a company. Consciously building a culture that celebrates small wins keeps the momentum going!

Purpose pushes and propels one past pauses in passion that often come during the pruning process of ups and downs through entrepreneurship. The actions to move for something greater that is aligned with purpose identified or realized weights and is meaningful to embrace. Often it shifts the mind to think of those who are being served and when passion wanes discipline remains understanding why the work is being done. Eventually the ups come and refuel passion. In my experience that passion many times resets when the good done is voiced or shown in the tangible left on others from that purpose. Passion will wane, when purpose remains the ability to sustain shows its worth.

Firstly, having a clear purpose can help me stay focused and motivated. A strong sense of why I am doing what I do can help me overcome obstacles and setbacks. If purpose inspires me, it can also attract customers, employees, and partners who share my values and vision. By aligning my actions with my why, I can create a sense of meaning and fulfillment far beyond financial success.

Staying Passionate... To remain passionate set clear goals, focusing on the purpose and the most important part believe in yourself. Remind yourself, why you started and what changes you want to bring in this society. Surround yourself with supportive people, always have room for updating yourself and celebrate the small wins you come across

Passion - love for your work - is why you get up and go every day, even when you don't want to. Take a few minutes daily to connect with why you are doing what you are doing because you have a purpose, and you're creating some kind of change. Refresh - Renew - Regenerate - Reset your passion choice. Sometimes I think passion is not a gift from the gods given to a select few, but rather a choice, a belief, an attitude, something you can practice and share with others to make things better in some way. Be steady and choose to do your work with passion and love and like and gratitude.

Focus on your goals on a daily weekly and monthly basis so that we can keep track of our dreams and goals. Daily manifest your dreams Make a list of things you want to achieve in your life and business. Make a list of places you would like to travel. Make a list of each and every dream and revise it time to time.

Perseverance fuels our journey even when obstacles appear insurmountable, proving that determination can conquer challenges. I really recommend to set on BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) but understand that it will take a very long time to achieve. And then ask yourself-- what baby steps can you take today in order to achieve your BHAG?

Can you share your goals with others and will they easily understand them? If you asked someone else to hold you accountable to your progress, would they be able to measure it? Simplify your goals, make sure they are easily measured and understood. The more complicated you make things, the tougher it may be to achieve them.

Realistic goals? 90% of startups fail. Realistic is failure, and you can't afford that. Stretch goals, ones that seem unrealistic at first, can be incredibly motivating. They push us, align us, force us to prioritize properly. They make us have uncomfortable conversations that you'd rather avoid. We often set goals that seem like a stretch. But we break them down into weekly targets and discuss them. Constant communication ensures everyone is on the same page about the goal's status - no surprises at the end of the quarter. Be open to learning and iterating. If you miss goals but are open to feedback, willing to adjust, that's not failure - that's growth. So, don't shy away from setting ambitious goals. Embrace them.

Set business goals that align with your life goals. Don’t know your life goals? Go back and work on this. Business goals will only motivate you if they serve personal purpose.

One goal I set last month was to go 30 days without ordering DoorDash. I find it really challenging to eat healthy and stay in shape while working long hours everyday. This one small change in behaviour has helped me get back into cooking daily, eating healthier, and start hitting the gym. Staying passionate as a solopreneur has its ebbs and flows. We are all human and sustaining high energy all the time is unrealistic and too intense. Giving yourself permission to put something on the back burner for the sake of your health, is healthy. I find that waiting to do that thing, was the perfect time usually. If an opportunity comes along and I don't have a "jump off the couch moment" I pass. And it's okay to be that way. Not every person or opportunity is worthy of your precious time.

I have learned (the hard way) how important balance is in business. I love the author Simon Sinek, put on principle, I think the most dangerous words are "Leaders Eat Last." I often joke that when leaders eat last you end up with a hangry and unfocused leader. Leaders must prioritize themselves first. Theres good wisdom in the words of Jesus, "Love your neighbor, as yourself." We often stop at "Love your neighbor". How many of our "neighbors" are being poorly loved because we won't take the time to put ourselves first? When I started prioritizing my own mental and physical health and space before others, I realized I actually had more to give to them when they needed it.

When I hire people to work for me, I tell them that work should be about their fifth priority in life. #1 should be themselves. Without your health (mental, physical, and otherwise), you won’t be able to help others. #2 is your family—if your daughter has a ballet recital, be there. If your son has a football game, be there. If your spouse wants to go on an anniversary trip, go. #3 is your religion and core beliefs. These things define who you are, and if work is getting in the way of them, find a new job. #4 Your hobbies. These things make you happy! Make time for them, or you will wonder why you get up every day. Last, your work. The reason for this order is because you can replace your work, but everything else above it is who you are.

As in a case of pressure issues on✈️ , you wear the oxygen mask yourself first. Every time. Only then you can tend to others. Apply that principle to every aspect of your life , you have to nurture and nourish yourself to be genuinely happy and content with yourself.

Success starts with self-care. The foremost rule for high achievers is understanding that to nurture a business, we must first nurture ourselves. The power of a morning routine is unparalleled: it's not just discipline, but a daily affirmation of our worth. Incorporating dopamine-releasing habits, like exercise or cold water exposures, boosts our day and reinforces our commitment to ourselves. By investing in our well-being every morning, we lay a solid foundation for our passions, goals, and dreams. Remember: sustainable success stems from looking after the driving force - you.

Recognize the importance of peripheral vision. While being passionate about your work can help you focus and excel, it can also blind you to other aspects of your life that are important. You should not neglect your health, well-being, relationships, hobbies, or interests outside of work. Be open to learning new things, exploring new ideas, or trying new experiences that can enrich your life and broaden your perspective.

Prioritize self-care. A healthy work-life balance is essential to sustain your passion for the long term. Burnout is a real and pernicious phenomenon, and it's important to recognize that you cannot be your optimal self without adequate rest and renewal. Most things of value are marathons, not sprints.

Remain focused on the PRIZE. For some that will be very challenging because of obstacles or even no business activity at all but you'll need to keep in mind that you started a business for a reason and for most I think its because they honed in on some sort of PRIZE they wanted to achieve. Set your focus on it and keep it there no matter what. If you want the PRIZE bad enough, the clock has no hands and the calendar has no days, know that it can take years to get it, you just have to be in it for the long haul.

Passion is important, especially when first launching and during difficult moments. (Having a co-founder helps too, for the emotional support.) The top way for many entrepreneurs to remain passionate is to experience success, by "making something people want," in the words of Y Combinator. If your business is growing, specifically revenue, you're probably doing something right (assuming you have healthy, positive gross margins and aren't overspending on customer acquisition). Eric Schmidt says, "Revenue solves all problems." The longer you go without experiencing success, the more your passion may begin to wane, and perhaps go from growing your business, to enjoying a hobby.

I think the easiest way to stay passionate is to make a difference with your business. Make the world a better place. Give back. Treasure value and kindness. There's a trend for brands to give to causes, and really get behind it. This seems to be what the world is looking for.

As you scale, don't lose sight of your roots. Stay connected to your core values and founding vision. Keep listening to early customers who believed in you. Welcome growth, but avoid complacency. Evolution requires risk, so have the courage to disrupt yourself. Growth simply for its own sake can lead you astray. Scale smartly but stay grounded in your purpose.

Having passion, like motivation, is for amateurs. Professionals know what needs to be done, and they do it regardless of how they feel. So enjoy the process. That said, know “why” you’re doing something helps create clarity, which is more important than passion. For example, my “why” is supporting my family so my children have more opportunity than I did. I don’t need passion, or motivation, because I have purpose.

In these challenging times, staying passionate when growing our businesses is critical, especially for sustainable businesses that can surmount unexpected setbacks and shocks. As Nassim Nicholas Taleb suggested, assessing businesses' anti-fragility capacity is essential. This means measuring businesses' and entrepreneurship's ability to benefit from disorder and recover after a socio-economic crisis. Companies can enhance their anti-fragility capacity by collaborating with other businesses and industries and developing strategies to build resilience. Innovation is also key to strengthening businesses' anti-fragility capacity and thriving in today's post-pandemic and digitally-driven global business landscape.

In my perspective, inorder to stay passionate you should stay stick to your prime purposes of that business and stay facous on your SMART goals that gear you up in all twist and turns, you need to focus your customer needs and wants, target them realistically and appropriately and networking best with like minded people similar professional people, learn from their experiences and grow, take your business to new heights.

If you know the pain point of customer and real world problem solution and your purpose is quite clear in your mind then it's as easy as abc to remain passionate about your approach being into enterprenurship, stay updated and trying your own intuitions with wisdom.

Constantly challenge yourself and your creativity. Do not get comfortable in your genius. Establish what you want out of your business and set a growth strategy accordingly. Take notes of the route traveled by those successful in your industry.

Stay adaptable and open to change. The business landscape is dynamic, and flexibility can reignite your passion. Constantly challenge yourself. Learning new aspects of your business or industry keeps things exciting.
