How can you use humor to make your campaigns unforgettable?

- Your target audience will always get the joke when you break it down and then explain it to them. - Make sure to end your hilarious copy with an appropriate emoji, such as 😋, so that your audience knows you're just kidding. - Your audience probably loves studio laughter. Don't keep that away from them. These are some sure shot ways to help your campaign succeed.

It is perhaps the most overlooked yet obvious mantra when it comes to marketing: Know thy audience. Yet brand and after brand prove they either don't or don't care and seem to create ads that appeal to them vs. their customers. This is very true when it comes to the use of humor. If your brand is not necessarily known for using humor, then don't force it. However if your brand IS known for being playful, then by all means, be playful; be funny but always staying within the parameters your customers have established.

Choosing the right channel to showcase your humor in messaging should be based on where you get the most engagement. This should allow you to have a starting point. Along the same lines as my answer to the first question, know thy audience, which in this case means know the channels they're on and equally important, the ones they're not. And avoid the temptation of jumping on a TikTok trend for example if your customers are not on that platform in the first place.
