Effective sourcing is the same for any position. You have to understand the needs of the hiring manager and business and understand exactly what the buisness is looking for. When recruiting globally you need to research job titles, pay, and cultural differences. I have had to source in 3 languages not knowing them and I was able to find the common industries, titles, and skills of talent. You have yo understand their market and do a lot of insights into your position and offer. You have to find what makes your position great in another country. Sourcing is the same in any country with the caviet of knowing the culutral differences, but most importantly understand the job you are filling.

Parameters like time to fill, cost to hire, Diversity Quotient and employee satisfaction are applied and reviewed in every organization irrespective of the country where the talent is being hired. When it comes to hiring global talent, cultural aspects play a crucial role. Every sourcing strategy first should be in alignment with the organization's strategy and is also dependent on the values the organization holds.

The success of quality of hire can be measured based on Duration of candidates after hiring and output produced by candidate after one year. After hiring candidate research says, it takes atleast 6 months to understand the organisation with proper training should be given to candidate.

We should float vacancy first with internal employees then it should be floated for referral ( select your colleagues) internally this will help to boost confidence of employees in the organisation. Parallelly Talent Acquisition team should start searching candidate through various channel by posting job details on LinkedIn, Naukri and social media in order to attract external talent.

I also maintain a pre-vetted talent pool, granting swift access to suitable candidates. Automated interview scheduling tools streamline the coordination, while predictive analytics help me foresee and proactively manage hiring needs. Collaborative hiring platforms enable faster, more efficient candidate evaluations. I've enhanced our referral program for quicker sourcing and host virtual job fairs for immediate candidate engagement. These strategies have markedly reduced our time-to-fill.

Time to fill is a major metric but it can be misleading as well. Beware of just looking at the average. You need to break out by key talent area or key functional area. Executive hires will probably take longer than entry level roles. How specialized is the role and what is the labor supply look like? What is the demand from the market? Are you always going to the market or could you look internally first? Second, make sure you map each step in the hiring process. Sometimes you can say, look there just are not that many candidates, but it could also be that your hiring managers are slow to respond. That just getting an interview scheduled ads 2 days. Find the bottlenecks in your process. This can often produce great wins.

Automated ATS/ Pipelines/ ... help a lot to reduce the TTH. But numbers are not showing the stories behind. Some positions can be filled right away. Some are very specific and the season makes it possible to fill the vacancy anyhow but there are times when certain roles can't be found or you easily are not convinced enough so that the search starts from 0 again and again. Therefore some strategies might help to get faster somehow but in my opinion the time to hire should only be tracked within the same job category.

It's worth saying that some candidates will be willing to move faster for their 'dream job' just as hiring managers are willing to move faster for the 'perfect' candidate.

One of the biggest challenge for Talent Acquisition Specialists/Recruiters these days is to timely fill a vacant position. In my opinion following steps can help in quick closures: 1. TAT: Setting a realistic timeline to fill a position (This should be based as per the agreement with the Hiring Manager as well as the Recruiter's experience) 2. Defining and differentiating between "Must Have" & "Good to Have" Skills 3. Posting the job in the prominent job boards 4. Selecting the candidates with right skills and lesser notice period In addition to this companies should be open for adopting strategies like Buyout, Incentivizing the candidate on early joining, hiring women/men who are willing to restart their career etc.

A lower cost per hire reflects efficient resource utilization, optimizing recruitment expenses. However, it's essential to balance this with the quality of hires. Focusing solely on cost per hire may lead to compromising talent standards. By combining cost per hire with metrics like time to fill and quality of hire, you achieve a more holistic understanding of the effectiveness of your global talent sourcing efforts.

Actually I disagree with this point. It is completely true that globalization allows companies to get the best sources from each corner of the world, including human talent. In addition, cost reduction is an advantage when currency exchange is in your favor. However, this common practice also increases abuse in such things like labor conditions and work disparities. If a firm is thinking to adopt this practice, there must be an assessment that covers way more than just cost optimization.

In times of a big gap with regards to specific target groups (e.g. civil engineers...) we should not focus on the costs but in developing strategies to find the exact fit for YOUR employer. If possible to get perfect fits -unlimited- with lower/ low costs please let me know 😂.

Cost per hire is very subjective in nature. The companies even though running in the same Industry can have a significant difference in terms of how it allocates money for hiring purpose. In the world where the companies are facing cut-throat competition, having a low cost per hire though is a crucial factor but is not determinant of success in attracting and retaining top talent.

Measuring success by DE&I requires that you know what your current organization looks like. It requires having articulated goals and it means that you have to be intentional about it. You have to make sure you are advertising on diverse platforms and marketplaces. You have to go beyond just posting your jobs online on major job boards.

Diversity and Inclusion are very common terms used in corporates these days. Though many organizations are comfortably trying to incorporate and exercise the same but they are still required to put in various strategies in place to upscale, elevate, strengthen and enhance the presence at the top of the pyramid (Leadership Level).

An Individual's experience is the most influential factor in the final decision making. While the HRs today make best of their efforts in finding best of the candidates for the role, the weight of an individual's experience with the HR POC and Interview process often plays a pivotal role in shaping the ultimate decision. An ideal candidate experience involves: 1. Well structured and shorter recruitment process 2. Timely feedbacks 3. Few informal interactions to get insights 4. Informative and Precise areas of evaluation so they can prepare well before each and every round In this way the candidates feel more valued throughout their journey with the company.

Candidate experience on my experience, is not just about how the candidates feel on a recruitment process. It actually talks about a company´s culture, values and leadership. It is the first impression a candidate has about where they may choose to take their next career step.

"Candidate experience" encapsulates applicants' perceptions of your organization and its hiring process. It mirrors the quality and coherence of your global talent sourcing. Elevating candidate experience involves clear communication, accuracy, respectful interactions, feedback incorporation, and fulfilling commitments. Measuring candidate experience employs tools like surveys, ratings, reviews, and referrals. Enhancing this experience not only bolsters employer branding but also attracts and retains top-tier talent, fostering a positive recruitment reputation globally.

A very good practice adopted by some organisations is that they share the detailed selection process to their candidates including the interview questions. This enables the candidates come prepared and help them be more confident in answering as they know what to expect. Specially neurodiverse candidates find this method useful as they can prepare their answers well ahead and don’t feel overwhelmed during, it gives those candidates a fair chance to represent themselves and overcome the nervousness. Such bold practices take Candidate experience above and beyond.

Candidate experience is not only can be measured based on experience during hiring process but it should be measured based on exit of candidates. Hence candidate experience is holistic process , it should be measured based on Clarity of role given before applying to candidate , interview process , Interview pannel feedback, 30-60-90 days feedback after joining.

Use Surveys. There are ways to measure this. One simple gauge is NPS. Randomly sample people to get an idea on how you are doing. You can look at other metrics as well. Offer Acceptance To Decline Ratios can be an indicator. If people are declining your offers that's a red flag that something is wrong. Or if people accept but then no show on the first day also a bad sign. You can look at Application Completion Percentages (That is the number of people who complete an application that start it - but this doesn't capture the full experience.)

A good candidate experienuce is needed in those days to win great talents therefore the first moment of getting to know info of a company until the whole journey starts must be optimized regularly. The needs and changes need to correspond to ne Feedback of the candidates, as well. A good candidate journey needs a combination of modern ways of visualization and keeping in touch (old fashioned but still needed). Apps / a good ATS etc. might help to guide through this journey.

From a holistic view, impact can come in many forms. It does not necessarily mean just bottom line influence. Are your candidates staying? Are they actively contributing to the team in brainstorming sessions and making an impact on projects? Are they gaining the trust of their fellow teammates? If you can answer yes to questions like that, it signals success in your strategies.

In my opinion the main important impacts are to enable the running business with the right talents. In this process the professionality and the process itself gives important impression about the way a company works/ communicates/ empathy aso. A good/ short/ well structured process is giving positive impacts to different directions.

Talent Acquisition is the best way to present and promote your organisation. TA team should not only focus on filling positions but also should focus on branding of organisation with proper structured information about organisation. It is the best opportunity to organization present its business, opportunity in future and current business operations.

An example I have seen & personally experienced is that how much TAT is reduced as per the set target of the organization for a particular project or geographical locations.
