Keep in mind to use high-quality thumbnails and, at least, 1080p resolution for your videos. A crisp representation is highly important, after all.

Having an online portfolio is crucial, but visibility is key. Utilize LinkedIn as a powerful tool to showcase your work organically. Share articles or artwork individually in your feed, offering insights into what inspires you. Don't forget to include your portfolio URL. To expand your reach, leverage LinkedIn's Featured Section on your profile. Highlight select pieces and provide context, always linking back to your portfolio. Providing testimonials and showcasing your best work can be a fantastic way of positioning yourself as a leader in your field - but to take it to the next level, break down the different perspectives on the projects, the different types of value that it creates, the different factors that have been considered. Showcasing your best work is a good thing to do, but when you take the time to demonstrate that you understand how and why it worked positions you as a much more trustworthy and reliable professional. A good way to learn how to break down your projects is using the STAR method - Situation, Task, Action and Result, of you master then you’re off to a golden start.

Make sure the links still work, that the keywords are still relevant and driving traffic. Add recent and relevant content to the top of your portfolio. Sometimes it's as simple as making sure at the bottom of your portfolio has the most current year. Sometimes it's as large as bringing in a developer to do a complete UI overhaul. It's such a jab at your brand's credibility when your online portfolio is outdated or not functioning to your audience's expectations. Make portfolio optimization a regular priority.
