One of the main things for learning from failure is to have clear documentation and reason out why we came up with the solution in the first place. Often, the time difference between to go to market and product planning is high. This changes the initial assumptions, there would be competitors entry, change is user mindset and many factors which lead to failure. It is also important to define, what we call as "failure" during the MVP. The north start metric and defining key user's pain points should be considered when defining failure. This helps in planning the vision and making changes to the product.

By doing so, we'll turn setbacks into valuable experiences that propel us closer to our career aspirations.

How can you learn from their success? - Conduct user interviews: Sometimes, the data doesn't tell the whole story. Talk to real users to understand their pain points and frustrations. - Look for trends: Are there any recurring themes in the data or feedback? If so, these could point to a systemic issue that needs to be addressed.

Take time to process your failure, cool down and come back to it with no emotions. This is key to look back at it and learn from it. Remember it's in the past already. This is a golden opportunity to learn from it. I'd advise you to write down the positives and the negatives in 2 columns, take a balanced approach. Write down why things went well and bad. Write a 3 step plan to address each issue and equally celebrate your wins even if small. Seek objective feedback from others involved and compare with yours. We all can grow and that's the mindset that will make the most of this setback. Then move on, it's only a project, there will be others. Don't dwell on it! Life goes on.

Learning is the most important aspect , SpaceX had failure after failure until their first successful launch but the success was possible only because their knowledge accumulated on each event fixing problem . if you can do that its worth it , if not its just wasted

Experience is a key factor for being a better PM. Industries and domain based situations would be different for each product. But when we are in the initial stages of a PM career, it is good to learn from experienced people and take courses. By putting ourself in a product journey, either through work or projects, we understand our weak areas and can improve. Most times clear and assertive communication comes through experience. One thing I found helpful is to connect with colleagues on product topics and try to convince them with assertiveness. This helped in improving my confidence and thought process when communicating. There are so many aspects to a PM's varied skills, and the learnings never stop.

A critical point to note here is, faster iteration might not also mean good quality. A way to have a balance around this is to plan the iteration steps and future changes. For example, you might not need an IOT sensor integration right now, when your basic calculations are failing. But considering automation as a future feature, will help in planning the architecture. The idea of having user flows and architecture diagrams right from the start of a product's journey is very helpful for quick agile changes. Sometimes when the target user persona is wrong, the entire user journey might need to be updated. Hence, having an existing flow can help with prefilling certain journey pages and then focus can be on creating new flows.

Having been around a while, to quite a popular ad campaign, I’ve seen a few things, so a I know a few things. Many of those “things” are times that I have failed, both professionally and personally.
