If you are running a small company, you can keep your employees motivated by : 1. First of all, know each member well.. their family background, ambitions, aspirations, strengths, areas of improvements etc. Every human being is unique and hence to establish to strong connect, its imperative that you know them as human being first. 2. Set realistic , achievable goals. 3. Do a periodic review and share realistic feedback for them to improve. Do consider their ideas and suggestions and work on them. 4. Basis their performance, reward them In a timely manner. Also coach , mentor them as a team lead. Every one needs help. 5. Be an open, transparent, fair leader. 6. Never play any games within and outside team. 7. Build your credibility.
