First get to know the community you're outreaching to. Is it predominantly Muslim? Don't provide pork refreshments. Is it predominantly families with young children? Provide childcare. Get to know the community and anticipate what might help them feel comfortable. Then be open and flexible to pivoting as feedback comes in. Re: accessibility it's important to have a broad understanding of this word. It's not just about wheelchair ramps. Consider background noise, comfortable seating, having materials available in many formats. And ... remember that what feels "safe" to one population might not to another. "Safe" isn't just about whether there's crime in an area, it's also about whether someone feels welcome to be there.
