Although I am very active online and in-person networking I learned long ago that the strongest relationships and most business comes from in-person connecting. It creates the strongest bonds. Facetime and Not Facebook leads to relationships.

Additionally, I set clear boundaries between my professional and personal personas, managing expectations for availability. I’ll be honest—there's no balance. Working from home is my reality, and any chance to meet someone in person or even over a Zoom call, I’m on it. I’m tired of typing and analyzing the "tone" of my text when I know that meeting another wonderful soul over video call or in person delivers 100% "Meri," rather than this "stand-offish / OMG, did I spell that right?" online persona! I might be about to be a bit controversial, but here goes. When people tell me you can only build relationships and sell when your face to face in person, it usually turns out they either run a face to face networking event or don't personally like working online ! It is perfectly possible to build a business through online networking, i work with clients all over the world and have never met around 90% of them in person. At the end of the day, you do what suits you and your business best, I find if you network online, the other people there will be perfectly happy interacting online, those at face to face meetings will probably prefer face to face follow ups. Just do what is right for you and your customers
