Working cross functionally and having a wide variety of experience and opinions is such an amazing situation to be. However, when it’s not navigated properly, it can lead to a lot of tension! It’s important to decide what the goals are for the team and to define ways of working that helps support those goals. And honestly, write it down - have an asset that you can point to! By focusing on the goals and the shared vision for the team as a leader we can listen to everybody’s ideas and workshop a concrete way of working agreement that supports those goals. Even if team members don’t get what they want all the time they should feel more bought because everyone is looking in the same direction about the goals not simply individual agendas.
