I've found journaling and periodic check-ins with myself (i.e. meditation) throughout my day allow me to have a good sense of my state of mind. This mindfulness awakens me to the moment; I can then address the underlying cause/issues.

Dentro: en qué punto te encuentras, qué buscas, qué es lo que sabes que no quieres, qué te hace sentir bien y te motiva hacer, qué te genera vitalidad e ilusión en el mundo laboral... en definitiva, cuál es tu propósito? Singularity, on the course Leading the Future, says that when are on automatic, working like crazy, studying all the time, the frontal cortex takes control. We stay unable to be creative, although we keep ourselves incredibly efficient. But, remember those times you stop to talk to someone, take a shower, or even stop everything to talk with your colleague, and suddenly you have a new idea? That is when your hippocampus is free to take the steering wheel of your brain. And SU also says you have to create experiences (and most of them we create with people around us) so that you can think new, work faster with new solutions, create new things. Being around people is crucial for everything.

Dedicate a day to exploring various museums and art exhibitions that are not directly related to your field of work or the specific problem you're addressing. Look for representations, similarities, and reinterpretations connected to your area of expertise. Observe how these themes are conveyed through the artworks. Ask yourself if the art offers a fresh perspective or novel insight into your work or the challenges you're facing. I'm fortunate enough to dedicate most Friday's to this ritual/ practice. It's revealed some gems and reconnected me with certain aspects of my work.

Remember what inspired you as a child. What absorbed you? What could you spend hours playing and doing? If you can, look through your old papers and things your parents saved. How close to this is what you're doing now? Is there a direct line from what you loved as a child through to today? Try to recapture that feeling of wonder and endless possibility by doing more of what you loved as a child.

What I've often found helpful in times when passion and drive is low. Is to take a step back. Try something new or simply have a break. It may seem like a waste of time, but the time spent away from something, allows you to find your own way out of that frame of mind and reference you may have been stuck in. After you've had some fun, the ability to think differently often helps a lot with reigniting that spark. Especially if it's surrounding brainstorming and creativity. New ideas and innovation strikes when you look at things in unexpected ways. That often can't happen without escaping your pressure filled state of mind

Life should be fun and so should your work, my experience as well as many people I have spoken to. That when you switch off your analytical part of your brain to just play and experiment is when your subconscious then helps reframe and have perspective on the current challenges you were looking to overcome. Great companies such as Lego encourage the importance of play and experimentation at any age, so why shouldn’t you ?

I totally agree going with the flow and of play! and since I’ve been back in London for a few months, I have been rediscovering all the museums, galleries, libraries and places I have missed. But also I’ve been using them as inspirational meeting places with clients and friends. It draws out more stimulating and creative ideas to help solve some maybe uninteresting or mundane issues clients may bring to the conversations. I am once again a wanderlust flaneur in my old home city! Getting rejuvenated.

Take a break. Go on holiday. If you are not inspired then the day to-day has erased something. Maybe it is time to move on to some things more inspiring. Listen to your body.

The brain by design wants to avoid pain and move towards pleasure. So to work in the design of the brain celebrate the achievements. This helps in getting back on track and creates a positive momentum.

I think it is critical to keep our accomplishments top of mind. Not so that we can flaunt them and praise ourselves in the public square, but because being aware of the impact we make on our world helps to remind us that we are an important part of something bigger than ourselves. This is a key to feeling fulfilled.

Acknowledge milestones, no matter how small. Celebrate completed projects, successful launches, or personal growth. Positive reinforcement matters.

Humans need serotonin and dopamine, and that is created when we accomplish something. And more important, when we celebrate that difficult tasks you thought it would be impossible to make it. To celebrate your achieved goals big makes your body feel that every time you accomplish something, you will get a reward. And every time you experience a big reward (that’s important, it must be celebrated big), you will see a wall with things you can not enjoy yet (like buying something very expensive, or do an expensive and enjoyable trip), and think: “I have to accomplish something bigger, because I want to do that thing I just learned I need more to be able to enjoy.” So, celebrate is important to rest, but is also important to grow.

Sometimes you will feel uninspired, and that is okay. Of course most people would choose to be inspired and have 365 great days per year, but I doubt this is realistic. I believe feeling uninspired every now and then also has its use. For example, it might give us signs that our interests and priorities are no longer the same. Or it can give us hints of what we dislike or feel uncomfortable doing. These are relevant signs to fine-tune the direction in which we are heading towards. As long as one reflects and understands the root cause of the lack of inspiration, then it is easier to improve the situation.

If someone is dependent on an external environment to ensure their progress so definitely he/she may need to reignite them at some moment of time when they are down because the environment will always try to push you down. However self realisation and knowing your own and teams wavelengths & frequencies, will always keep the person self motivated to achieve better then the expected deliverables.

One important thing is : REST Some vacations days with your computer closed to recharge your own battery, make a point about your career to see if you still fit with the job or if you have to envision others things

1. Surround yourself with sources of inspiration. 2. Reflect on purpose/goals of self and organisation. 3. Sleep/Vacation --> reset/recharge --> and get going 😴✈️🚀🚀🚀

A lack of REST may cause burnout and lack of motivation/inspiration. I would suggest that after someone gets rest, takes a vacation and resets, if they still feel uninspired, then it is time to do some introspection. The key question would be to go back to your WHY. Why do you do what you do? Why did it matter in the beginning? Why was it worth it? I have often found that if our life's work even remotely gives us a sense of fulfillment and purpose and we feel that we're bringing value, making great people connections, and perhaps building a lasting legacy, it helps us stay resilient through the hard seasons. If we feel that we no longer bring value, it may be time for something new/something else.

In my experience, the key lies in seeking innovation not in external grandeur, but in the subtleties of my professional day-to-day. I turn towards projects that challenge the status quo, those small experiments or ideas that, at first glance, seem trivial but have the potential to revolutionize established practices. I cherish failures as much as successes, for each setback is a lesson in disguise, revealing new paths and perspectives. I fuel my passion by remaining curious, always questioning the "why" behind routine operations and exploring how technology can transform not just businesses, but lives.

É sempre válido estar de olhos abertos ao equilibro entre vida pessoal e profissional. Super importante sermos de alta performance em nossa rotina profissional e atividades, mas, isso só é possível se sua vida pessoal estiver em dia. Sempre buscar fazer algo que faça você feliz, seja um momento de qualidade com a família ou amigos, ler um livro, ir a um show. No meu caso costumo praticar exercícios físicos, o que me faz, manter o alto rendimento, qualidade e inspirado para o trabalho.

I believe that when you’re bored at work, it is time for you to reconnect with yourself. I did an exercise that helped me connect with my current purpose and define a clear vision of what I wanted to create and what I wanted to make a difference in. And that became my GPS. From there it was a matter of finding ways in which I could contribute to the company, contribute, to others, and excel in my work. That led me to challenges I love, knowing new people, and feeling that what I do matters. In my case, I went from being very good at building, robots, and robots systems to Leadership. I help leaders be innovative, launch initiatives, bring people together. Your path may not be as radical as mine yet whatever it is, it is worthwhile.

Por experiência própria, não adianta permanecer fazendo um trabalho que não te inspire. Precisa existir o desafio, precisa te empolgar a realizar seu trabalho cada vez melhor. Uma dica que dou é a seguinte: se você está trabalhando muito, mas está feliz, provavelmente é esse tipo de trabalho que te motiva. Claro que devemos buscar a qualidade de vida e cuidar de outras áreas da vida, mas se você estiver motivado o trabalho não será um fardo.
