If EVERYONE is ignoring guidelines, they are probably not fit for purpose. Were the workforce consulted? If they were merely imposed, and not fit for purpose don’t expect a work team to embrace them, especially if they don’t make sense. Do safety WITH your people, not TO them

There are two aspects Ignoring safety guidelines impacting other people's lives is a BIG no-no. No compromise - non compliance will not be tolerated. In the case of a situation affecting only him - provide a written warning that if there are consequences due to his negligence he will have internal consequence management procedures applied which will affect his career.

All the time we should keep on our mind construction workforces are unskilled and low educated. For those reason first step before join to team needs to provide to them proper training. After training, shall be provide to them different topic how to prevent incident at workplace. Briefing workforce before commence work make them aware for the risk at workplace. Employer should empower workforce with proper knowledge of workplace circumstances. Always, should mention to workforce report unsafe conditions, unsafe act, keep clean workstation, wear protective equipment, and supervisors keep workforce up to date with new procedures or protocols.

When a team member ignores safety guidelines, I focus on inclusion, psychological safety, and skill development. First, I involve team members in safety discussions, so they feel ownership and can voice concerns. Second, I create a psychologically safe environment by having open conversations to understand any barriers to compliance, making it easier for employees to speak up without fear. Lastly, I ensure they have the skills and resources needed through targeted training. By fostering a culture of shared responsibility, we encourage natural adherence to safety practices.

Consultation! That's the key, involve HSR's and get feedback from the teams. There is a Psychological effect when a team is involved and come up with the solutions - if its their idea then they will do it! Its also a regulatory requirement which most organisations do not do well.

1- Putting time, talking privately and comprehensively with them. Guiding them to correct their carelessness. 2- Meanwhile making sure their, actions, doesn't affect on other colleagues. 3- If after given period of correction nothing changes, I'll finish their work on that site. Maybe a job rotation will help. 4- If not, a dismissal is due...

Immediate attention to the matter and direct polite conversation with the team member is vital. Periodic training and awareness along with regular health safety audits ensures that there are no lapses in the system.

Here’s how I can encourage everyone to stay safe: A. Lead by Example. B. Effective Training and Communication. C. Create Culture of Accountability. D. Empower Safety Officers. E. Conduct Routine Safety Audits. F. Reward Safe and Positive Approach. G. Encourage Open Communication. F. Use Visual Reminders. By taking a proactive, team-oriented approach, I can shift attitudes toward safety and create an environment where everyone takes personal responsibility for staying safe.

In my opinion,by Open Communication and Organizing a refresher training session on safety protocol would be effective a lot but don’t forget to Lead by Example and Create a Safety Culture. Use Visual Reminders and try to Report making Documents. At least Foster an environment where team members hold each other accountable for following safety procedures and Regularly solicit feedback from the team on safety practices and make improvements based on their suggestions. By taking these steps, you can help ensure that safety remains a priority for everyone on the team! 😊

Second step monitoring the job work performed safely or unsafe, if unsafe then immediately correct at the workplace and guide them, same guidance shared to your co-workers.
