Your current employer is trying to keep you. Will additional benefits be enough to make you stay?

It has to be examined holistically. The needs vary from individual to individual and the different stages of career. It can range from salary increase to possibly mental peace also in some cases. Therefore one apt solution may not address all the cases.

While additional benefits are appealing, they are not the only factor in my decision to stay. Career growth, job satisfaction, company culture, and opportunities for advancement are equally important. If my current employer can address these aspects and provide a clear path for my professional development, I would consider staying. For instance, if they offer new challenging projects or leadership opportunities that align with my career goals, that would significantly influence my decision. However, if the core issues that prompted me to consider leaving remain unresolved, additional benefits alone may not be sufficient to retain me.

Since Benefits are community rewards, hence can't be tailor-made to an individual as is always standard as per company policy. Also, benefits are liable to change based on organisation's policies and management discretion and you can't claim if organisation changes/ remove it unlike your compensation which is tailor made for you. Note: All company policies come with a disclaimer that it is liable to change as per management's decision and interpretation of the policy is finally rested with the organisation's management in case of any dispute. Hence taking a decision of staying back for benefits isn't a practical approach.

Apart from additional benefits,there are other parameters to be considered. In my opinion employee is leaving his / her direct reportee for some issue,it can't be compensated with additional benefits.

Sollte der Ursprung nicht in finanziellen Faktoren liegen, sollten Sie darauf nicht eingehen. Überlegen Sie sich genau, warum Sie diesen Schritt gegangen sind. Wieso musste es soweit kommen, wie es gekommen ist? Wäre die Situation vermeidbar gewesen? Was denken Sie, wie wird die Atmosphäre nachdem Sie bereits den Schritt der Kündigung ausgesprochen haben? Aus meiner Erfahrung sind 4 von 5 Bewerber:innen die ein Geganangebot annehmen, langfristig nicht glücklich.

You are the best judge for your needs and requirements, so looking at all possible available options make a clear choice whether to stick with the current organization or join another organization. Both have their own merits and perils, choose wisely after giving due considerations esp. to the long term goals rather than short term goals as thinking long term increases chances of growth in career.

Your employer should understand your requirement and keep a career path and give industry based competitive compensation leaving no room for negotiations .Debateable but negotiations to retain may also be considered as a trade off between employer employee relation which should be avoided.

Market Demand: Leverage the demand for your skills in the market to strengthen your negotiation position. Professional Network: Seek advice from mentors and peers about how to approach negotiations.

Work-Life Balance: Assess how the job impacts your personal life and well-being. Location: Consider the job’s location and how it affects your commute, family, and lifestyle. Passion and Interests: Reflect on whether the job aligns with your passions and interests.
