These type of projects are a journey, and shouldn't be looked at as a mater of destination. Leader of the projects, must ensure those involved in the project and the management understand this. Our human nature is such that we always looks for the final results. Since these are not apparent or may take long time to realize in a long project, a project leader must take wins whenever the relevant opportunity exists, and no matter how small, and celebrate them with the project team and partners. These "small wins" have to balance the overall number of issues in the project, and must be understood and recognized by the management as well.

In my opinion: 1. Develop a consistent work routine to build discipline, it helps to create a sense of structure and makes it easier to stay motivated. 2. Acknowledging and celebrating the achievements and milestones no matter how small it is helps keep the entire team motivated. 3. Be open to adapting the project plan as needed. As, unexpected challenges may arise, and flexibility allows us to adjust the approach without losing motivation.

In my opinion tracking is a product of an effective feedback system. When the feedback system is optimum, the leader is able to forecast challenges and assist the team. Recognition of smallest of achievements give a push to the morale of team to go beyond the expectations.

Meeting milestones ahead of schedule; product and process improvements that contribute to the bottom line; learning and communication with everyone involved. This is a team-oriented endeavor. A winning team creates a winning attitude with winning results.

I totally agree, I would want to see cheerful faces in my team in the morning without any monday blues and that is possible only when they are coming happy from their homes and further coming to work with a happy boss. It is the leader's job to assess the work load on each of his team members and look towards the mark of fatigue. A demotivated member is a potential hazard to the whole team.

Everyday is an opportunity to learn something new and grow. One should always remain humble in that no matter how long you might have been doing the same thing or the same processes , that we have never seen “everything “
