How do you inspire others to follow your fintech vision?

Understanding your audience is crucial when sharing your fintech vision. Tailoring your message to address their specific needs and interests will help you effectively communicate the value of your solution. By aligning your vision with the roles, skills, and values of your team members, you can inspire and motivate them to contribute towards its success. Highlight the mutual benefits and opportunities for your partners which will foster stronger relationships and collaborations. Address the pain points and needs of your clients to demonstrate how your vision can provide tangible solutions. Customize your message according to your audience to maximize the impact of your fintech vision.

Innovation in fintech, just like any other tech, trickles down from the top of a hierarchical structure. And it’s successful if it makes money. These days we are witnessing the “fintechization” of everything facilitated by technology, so everyone is a stakeholder - just like everyone is a stakeholder when it comes to the internet. Data can become scarce, and if something can be scarce, it can also become valuable and ownable. Now what does that mean for your target group? Well, it means that everyone operating in the digital world should ask themselves whether they are providing products and services that does not only meet their audience’s demand today, but will also do so tomorrow. And you should be the one explaining it!

As the technology innovator & disruptor having deploying lot of innovation in self service products & fintech space way ahead of time I would advise startups in fintech to start with understanding the pain points of their customers, develop their products and solutions around it and then create the product for marketplace .I recall a beautiful quote of my mentor #stevejobs who stated. Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity, not a threat.”

Through educational workshops, we demystified fintech concepts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation and KYC/A. As trust was built over time, I saw a remarkable increase in commitment and enthusiasm among the team in exploring new user personas and studying their attitude and needs. This experience reinforced the importance of these key strategies in inspiring others to follow and support a visionary fintech journey, ultimately propelling the startup to secure a significant round of funding and establish a strong foothold in the market by addressing the right audience in the right way.

The Fintech landscape is diverse, and the needs of different banks and financial institutions can vary significantly. While some banks may require a fully integrated end-to-end solution covering all banking operations aspects, others may only need a specific module or functionality. To take an analogy with pizza🍕, not every customer wants a fully loaded cheese burst pizza with extra cheese and all the toppings, and some may only want certain toppings like tomato, golden corn, or simply a Margherita pizza. Similarly, not every bank wants a fully integrated solution covering all banking operations, and some may only want specific modules or functionalities.

One approach I find helpful is to break seemingly complex fintech into "edible" layers. Once the layers have been clearly described you then "sandwich" the layers together, add a "delectable sauce" and side bar for more "flavor" and then take suggestions and "thirst quenching" questions to wash everything down in a satisfying gulp of fact checking data. Now that everybody is hungry, break for lunch! Afterwards, keep the conclusion short and sweet because everybody is sleepy now and that's when you pass out the "caffeine" aided handouts and while you now have their "full" attention, say your goodbyes.

Double down on two, fundamentals truths: #1: History repeats #2: Technology always proliferates Tell a story people can always resonate with. When it comes to Web3, I always tell the story of the internet. I share a newspaper article from the daily mail, which said: “The internet may just be a passing fad, as million are giving up on it”. Find parallels to other, relatable instances in history and tell the story how it unfolded back then. Share what might be similar, and what might be different. Remember, the more complex the topic, the more important it is that it’s told in a relatable way. And there’s nothing people resonate with better than their own experiences.

Hack to create a compelling story to post online: 1. Do not write anything 2. Don't do any strategies or draft 3. Think about one, two things you would tell your industry peer/colleague during after work beer 4. Write it down and send it via Whatapp 5. If traction (that is - good conversation) happens 6. Ask chatGPT to proofread 7. And post on LI, while mentioning fellow industry peers 8. Profit

For any vision or a new idea in business needs acceptance. Share and get feed back from your colleagues first, have an open mind for criticism and willing to change your idea to expand broader vision. This always works and makes you a good leader. Always look for growth for your team not just you. This was part of my success over the years.

In general I would say, get teams and each member on board with your fintech vision, tell the interest, attention, or imagination of your story that shows how your ideas can really shake things up. Make teamwork and constant learning a big deal, focusing on the cool journey of innovation together. Show off the real perks of your vision by tackling actual problems and being flexible in a fast-changing scene. Be open about your wins and losses to build trust. Tie your fintech goals to a bigger mission so everyone feels like they're part of something important by making the financial future meaningful.
