Picking a niche or topic that excites you is important, if you already have an audience then ask you self why they follow you, what topics excites your audience, those topics are most likely the once you are the most passionate about yourself. Listeners can easily feel if you are passionate about what you are talking about. Passion makes it exciting to listen.

Also think about your episode cadence, do you want to air once a week? Every day? Maybe once pr month? Your cadence should in many cases impact the length of your show. Eg. I disagree that you need to spend a lot of money when starting out creating your podcast. The only initial expense should be on microphone and you don't need to spend a lot. A computer A recording software like riverside And a quality mic will get you extremely far. I suggest Rode NT-USB+ it plugs right in to your computer no setup needed. Lastly something like DaVinci (free version) for editing and spreaker for publishing. It’s cheap to get started. It can be done for less than 200 usd

Use free applications like that of Zoom for recording and Capcut for editing. Once I had a number of episodes recorded on my podcast I subscribed to StreamYard and I would recommend this recording application.
