Treating your employees with respect is key. Make sure that you make the time to speak with your team and ask questions about how they are doing , what they expect from you and ask them their own goals and if they have set any. I say setting goals because if they have visioned a long term goal then you know they are going to want to do well. Encouraging your team to set goals for themselves and asking them how they are doing with their goals. Ask the questions and listen to them, make sure you pay attention and tell them that you are there if they need guidance or if they just want to bounce an idea off you. I have found more employees feel valued and a important part of the company. Communicate, inspire and value are extremely important.
