We need to ensure: 1. Clarity of Scope of Work, priority, schedule, & company goal/objectives. 2. Tranparent to the team with all constraints, ensure company system support would provide the best they can do. 3. Encourage team to be open, including if there is any technical decision they need to have support from SME (Subject Matter Expert) - as each project will have different challanges, including new technical cases/circumtances. Ensure this also will be supported by Company management. 4. Encourage and enhance good and health communication & collaboration amongst team member.

I have learned that it is important to clearly communicate what success looks like. What is the measurable goal that needs to be achieved and by when? As problems are encountered, and they will be, our ears must be open and we must engage. Feedback should be measurable. “When we tried X, we noticed Y happened”. This displays the gap. When we have the gap, against the standard we are trying to achieve, we can problem solve that gap into closure. All of this should be done with the customer in focus at all times. If our solution does not serve the customer, we are solving the wrong problem.

Feedback – that comes after you have assigned the task. The nature of that feedback depends on how you delegate tasks to the team. If you have sold an outcome, the team/person has accepted, and you have provided necessary support: • Evaluate delivery against scope/quality, schedule and budget • Do an RCA against any shortfalls • Arrange training/coaching against these shortfalls, planning to grow the individual If you practice directive leadership • Look for faults, assign blame • Belittle the individual, preferably in front of the team • Highlight how you would have done better • Wait in anticipation for the next team failure

As a team leader you have to create a culture of feedback by establishing clear expectation from your team based on tasks assigned. They need to understand feedback is helpful for monitoring the process of the tasks. You should be open for any form of feedback, encourage your team, demonstrate how to give and receive it constructively. Allow them to explain their perspective, validate their emotions, be willing to adjust your expectations based on their input, do not compare their, encouraging individual skills and promote serenity among each member in order to let each person comfortable to give or report feedback.

To ensure better execution, we must adopt the following strategies- -Provide clarity on assigned task goals. -Define clear milestones to track progress. -Foster an open and learning-oriented environment. -Conduct timely follow-ups to ensure alignment and progress.

To Ensure constructive feedback that will lead to team success, you have to be detailed and specific to the job on hand and they will learn from it on the succeeding work ahead and for the future, always give examples with previous project and always make it better, always listen to their suggestions and discuss to make it more better
