- Encourage open dialogue where each team member can present their views and reasoning.
- Seek a third-party opinion or consult industry best practices to provide an objective perspective.

It's normal for teams to face divisions over technical approaches, but effective strategies help us bridge the gap. I find a whiteboard session with a mediator listing pros and cons highly effective. This "thinking together" strategy uncovers potential problems before implementation. We hold two short meetings on consecutive days—either in person or online with a shared screen—allowing team members to "sleep on it" without delaying the project. This often leads to better solutions. This is just one technique for team alignment. Others include SWOT analysis and the "thumbs up/down/sideways" method for quick consensus.
