Conducting comprehensive voice of customer activities is critical in seeking to improve a product/service. Surround yourself with a core and diverse group of subject matter experts who give you unbiased feedback.

To optimize product enhancement, prioritize customer feedback and employ structured mechanisms for measurement. Utilize metrics like Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), and Customer Effort Score (CES) to quantify feedback sentiment and identify improvement areas. Implement robust data analytics tools for in-depth analysis of feedback patterns, aiding informed decision-making for product refinement. By leveraging measurable feedback indicators, track customer satisfaction levels systematically and iteratively enhance product offerings to align with evolving market demands.

Build your tribe within the industry. People openly share feedback with vendors/partners who come alongside them to solve problems and build trust. As an organization that largely sells through intermediaries instead of direct to businesses - our tribe are the health plan partners and employee benefit brokers who refer us to their employer clients. Yes we get NPS/CSAT and have employer councils for feedback; however, the view of the intermediary who sees across a larger block of business is key to our success. This requires an ongoing relationship demonstrating we take ownership for solutions, deliver innovative approaches, and provide counsel for enhancing the value of their client interactions.

Of course, asking for product feedback depends on your business model, industry, product, and situation. Retail, services, and B2B products each have their own target market and serviceable market. For B2B, you can ask for feedback through survey interviews, then communicate the results of the survey and interviews with customers. For retail industry you can use technology like big data to collect data from social media platforms.

Listen to your sales reps. They know, but from experience, I find they don't listen to them as much as they should....Ideally, it would be great to get in front of clients, but a sales rep is a great source of information. Just ask.

Asking for feedback is step one, but before you ask, you may stop to consider your relationship with the client. If they are familiar with you personally they're more likely to give you that feedback. However, if they're completely comfortable with you they're more likely to give you fully transparent feedback. Always a good note to stop and assess the relationship first, and then make a specific plan for clients who fit in each of those buckets.

I love the idea of luminary clients. Your product should solve a problem for your client. If you go to your clients and make them part of your product innovation by letting them see and try the product, perhaps at a reduced trial price, you can gain valuable feedback from your client and turn them in to an early adopter/fan. Of course, you should only try this once your product has been tested and is ready. I’ve done this prior to the final tweaks, and by collaborating with your clients, you can gain valuable knowledge by making them part of the process.

Curiosity with in the product which make clients come forward and give there feedback. They want to give feedback they have to give feedback they should stand in line to give the feedback. Feedback is not just feedback it should be one of the process in the making of product.

Sure, feedback surveys are the first option to gather intel on how your product is doing and what could be improved, however if you want continuous feedback and updates I would suggest forming a community of users/clients and even setting up regular advisory board type of meetings with top customers to get first hand details on their experience, helping them to share also with their peers and directly with the product development team.

In my previous organisation which is by far the market leader in locks business as part of key strategic initiatives we used to visit end customers to hear the voice of the customer. For one particular door of the house this lady from bangalore mentioned that you have not done much in the last 20 years as far as bath doors are concerned. We realised that the feedback was bang on and not only us the industry itself had been lazy to do any innovation. I salute the customers for giving us the feedback about our next gen of new product development.

Feedback from someone using competitors products & trying your product is gold dust, because he will not only identify the gap, his pain points will be idea/target for enhancement or refinement you need to convert you product from good to better & better to best.

The second step to get feedback from customers is to listen to it. Don't ignore, dismiss, or argue with the feedback you receive, even if it is negative or critical. Instead, appreciate and acknowledge the feedback, and try to understand the customer's perspective, needs, and emotions. Listen to feedback with an open mind and a curious attitude, and ask questions to clarify or explore the feedback further. For example, if a customer says that your product is too expensive, you can ask them why they think so, what value they expect from your product, and how they compare your product to other options

Listening to feedback goes beyond conversation. You can also pay attention to what your customers are doing and their actions. Are they looking for alternatives? Are they complaining that your service doesn't meet their expectations? Or are they simply not communicating with you? Listening without assumptions means acknowledging that you might not understand what your customer is trying to say. If you already assume you know what they want, you'll miss important points in their feedback.

I will do active listening, think out of the box to analyse and respond to queries and questions, this active listening will help me to understand the real concerns of my customers and thorogh analysis will guide me to improvise my detailing in future for my products / portfolio to address the issues by converting features into benefits that relates to customers feedback.

Feedback is always provided by most customers, irrespective of the fact anyone asks about it or not. We should focus on the constructive feedbacks of our product to capitalize on it's improvement

I will analyse the feedback by breaking into gender, age groups, communities, lifestyle demographics and then see where actually the most important area of my products/ portfolio fits in. Then I devise my action plan according to the need of specific areas.

Although most feedback as a seasoned speaker is going to correlate to hunger, comfort, temperature of room and so on, DO make sure you can control for those variables in advance. Apart of what I do when I receive feedbacks is to analyze them by bringing out insights and what we can do to improve our offerings to drive Sales growth.

I will respond it within stipulated given time, first of all I will accept the feedback findings by showing empathy and will positively try to meet as much as I can, I will not make false promises for any feature of my products that can't be met in near future.

In direct sales, gathering customer feedback is crucial for product improvement. I would like to add 2 point when ever taking feedback should from bottom line catagory, 2. our own employee not to give proper feedback or actual feedback they may give always postive comments.

Listen to your customers and as well profile solution to there problem, you don't just listen without doing anything about there issues, Try to see reason on they feedback, consider yourself been in that there same problem and learn not to ignore customers feedback.

I would consider that some products or solutions can be designed and engineered "ahead of times", in other words they can be break-through innovations that no one saw before. It is essential to educate the customer about the advantages and life changing experience that they bring. It is a reverse process compared to asking customers` feedback.
