The biggest problem I have found is that most artist don't listen to their fans when they are not giving positive advice. As soon as an artist hears a problem they refuse to acknowledge it and then won't listen to exactly what is happening. Stop talking and listen.

Be authentic. By all means acknowledge the issue at hand and see the fans point of view. But make sure you as a human being are coming from an authentic position. It’s ok to disagree. If you have conviction people will have all the more respect for you.
