I know change can be scary, but you can re-frame the fear-creating part into excitement. Do not tell yourself "I am scared!" tell youself "This is interesting, I wonder what will happen!"

The VUCA world will only get more difficult to catch-up. Assuming you as a leader have already been practicing certain aspects including change management, in the context of this article, embracing change should mean readiness to apply the required effort, and preparedness to face the outcome.

It's also important to invest one's time and energies to learn about upcoming disruptions and how to better cope with them.

Learning does not mean going through training or coaching. Learning means ready to listen and take feedback, in the context of leading the team and their effort. Provide coaching or arrange for leadership training for different levels in your organization for them to be able to manage change and bring qualities of leadership that can align with your organizational context.

The most important part of learning for leaders is not getting a focus that is too narrow. Yes, you can learn a lot about leadership from art, movies, marial arts, yoga, dancing, parenting, teaching. Also moving across disciplines helps a lot to keep your mind fresh. You might find nuggets of insight or solutions in areas that you would have never expected. Apply the same curiosity to people. I always ask people about their passions and it is magic what you can learn. Do not assume that you know your team members. Ask them a lot of questions about themselves. You will learn something and they will feel appreciated.

Changes the only constant in this world, especially in the business world where strategies are changing the way you do things, but also the actions that your customers take or your competitors take are changing the way you have to do things.
