In my experience as a sport podcaster, I regularly attend sport events, workshops and make sure I am attending networking breakfasts, captains events, and open days. This is where athletes meet me face to face and get to know who I am before I invite them on to the show. I’ve found this very effective. By attending educational networking opportunities, it creates connection with in the podcasting community. I’ve also found this creates further opportunities for connections and interviews.
