Hiring is what we called “a one-way door”. It is decision that is not easily reverse. It is costly if you hire someone with the wrong culture fit. Ensure that you have multiple interviewers to assess. What in Amazon we have our loops interviewers to ensure we have a well-informed decision making. Too many organizations hiring decision is based on one person only. The only speed is that we prioritize and free up our calendar to make time for the interview.

I'd always put quality over speed, however exceptional #recruiter must be able to manage both. For speed of execution, the planning has to happen a lot in advance - efforts like talent pools, active lists, etc help a lot. As they say in Indian Army, "The more you swat in peace, the less you bleed in war"

don't try to impress clients with speed; its about delivering leaders who drive results. Patience pays. Filling roles quickly might seem impressive, but placing a mediocre candidate screams amateur Don’t tarnish your reputation for speed. Identify must haves vs nice to haves early on. you can quickly weed out the wrong fits without wasting time. the 100% ideal candidate is a myth. Aim for 80% & help them grow the rest. Use tools and ATS to automate screening, it can really speed things up, but make sure the human touch remains for big decision making. Communicate timelines & expectations with both candidates & clients, quality takes time. Don’t rush to avoid missing out (don’t FOMO yourself). The right hire is better than the fastest one.
