Regional iCodi Workshop on the New ITU Arab Regional Initiatives, Dubai, UAE from 19 to 22 November 2024.



The Telecommunication and Digital Government Regulatory Authority of the UAE (TDRA) is pleased to invite all ITU
members in the Arab region, along with relevant stakeholders to participate in a Regional iCodi Workshop on the New ITU Arab Regional Initiatives, scheduled to take place in Dubai, UAE from 19 to 22 November 2024.
in line with the Strategic Partnership launched by TDRA and the ITU to Accelerate Digital Innovation through the iCodi
Initiative, This workshop is organized in preparations for the World Telecommunication Development Conference
(WTDC) 2025, with the objective of assisting member states prepare for the new Regional Initiatives for the Arab Region
that will shape the ITU’s work in the Region from 2023 to 2026.
This workshop will convene participants from member states, the private sector and relevant stakeholders, to co-create
the new ITU Arab Regional Initiatives. Utilizing established methodologies and strategic frameworks, participants will
assess future risks and opportunities in the region to develop strong, resilient, and impactful initiatives.
This workshop is a complimentary exercise for the member states efforts to formulate the new ITU Arab Regional
Initiative prior to the upcoming WTDC that will be held 17-28 November 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan and will be
conducted in the English language. Countries may nominate 1 representative to participate in the workshop physically
and an additional nomination may be approved based on availability.
