ABOUT THE EVENT

3rd Annual CIRT-BS Cybersecurity Conference + 15th ITU Caribbean CyberDrill - Nassau, Bahamas 15-17 January 2025 is an event coorganized by the ITU’s Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) and the Government of The Bahamas.

The 3rd Annual CIRT-BS Cybersecurity Conference and ITU Regional CyberDrill (formerly Stakeholder Engagement Symposium), under the theme, “Building Shared Cyber Resilience,” aims to enhance national and regional cybersecurity partnerships.

The purpose of the event is to enhance the communication and incident response capabilities of the participating teams as well as to ensure a continued collective effort in mitigating cyber threats among the region's national Computer Incident Response Teams.

The exercises are structured around various scenarios that involves the most common types of cyberattacks while the sharing sessions, and provides a platform for cooperation and discussions on cybersecurity.

3rd Annual CIRT-BS Cybersecurity Conference + 15th ITU Caribbean CyberDrill - Nassau, Bahamas takes place from 15 to 17 January 2025.

PURPOSE

The event offers a space for analysis and discussion about national needs, actions, and initiatives, plus capacity building through cyber incident simulation labs towards the protection of national critical infrastructures, and the cybersecurity of the region, among other important national critical aspects.

Attendees, including local and international experts, gain practical insights on incident response management, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity strategies. Discussions cover legal frameworks, compliance, and regulatory requirements. The Cyber Drill enhances national defenses, fosters unity, and strengthens regional collaboration.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The event is opened to CERTs of the Region's Member States, decision takers about cybersecurity from the administrations, Staff of telecommunication administrations, regulatory authorities, regional organizations, sector members and special guests from The Caribbean.
