QS WUR 2025: IIT Bombay rises 31 places to rank 118th globally

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has been ranked 1st in India and has moved significantly up from 149th rank last year to 118th rank this year in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, with an overall score of 56.3 out of 100. It is for the first time ever since its participation that IIT Bombay has been ranked within top 125 in QS rankings. Overall, the Institution improved its 2024 performance by 31 places.

The results were released on Wednesday, June 4, 2024, by QS. The Institute has a score of 86.0 in employer reputation, 79.1 in citation per faculty, 58.5 in academic reputation, 64.5 in employment outcome, 52.5 in sustainability, 14.4 in faculty-student ratio, 4.3 in international faculty, 52.3 in international research network and 1.3 in international students, all scores out of a maximum of 100 points. Among these nine parameters, Employer Reputation indicated the strongest one for IIT Bombay with a rank of 63 globally.
