IIT Bombay celebrated National Science Day to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect' by Sir C.V. Raman, an Indian physicist for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
As part of this celebration, IIT Bombay organized lectures on February 28 by Prof. Samir Maji, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, who delivered an informative discourse on "Mechanism and development of blood tests for Parkinson's disease" and Prof. Varun Bhalerao, Department of Physics, presented an enlightening lecture on "Ultimate Alchemy: How does the Universe create gold?".
The talks highlighted the work being done by the professors and featured their innovative discoveries. An effective Q&A session that followed the presentations gave the attendees valuable insights, making the event successful.
