Media files specifications for videos
- Video encoding with MPEG4 codec, H264/AVC codec, 5 Mbps bitrate, progressive scan, 25 ips
- Audio encoding with AAC codec, stereo, 48 Khz sampling frequency, 256 Kbps bitrate
- mp4 extension
- Maximum duration of 30 seconds
- Image size – HD 16:9 (1920×1080)
- Video must be in French and must be in compliance with the French laws (health warnings, etc.) => provide approval from ARPP (PubID) – mandatory for broadcasting
Specifications in case of third-party video tags/redirects
- VAST 2.0 (recommended) and 3.0 tags (max) for broadcast on Desktop or Mobile (web and apps)
- VPAID 2.0 tags (max) in JS format (not in Flash format) for broadcast on Desktop only
- Inline XML Ad tags directly or Wrapper XML Ad tags for up to 2 levels
No third-party tags/redirects for broadcast on IPTV (refer to dedicated specifications).
- a VAST must contain, and ideally have at the top of the list, the recommended media file (refer to specifications of the video media file);
- a VAST cannot include a wrapped VPAID;
- a VPAID must be unique and cannot wrap another VPAID;
- Only one visibility system per redirect (IAS or Moat or Google ActiveView, etc.);
Specifications for IPTV
It is mandatory to use the francetvpub VAST provided by the Advertising authority such as Creative, on the DSP for broadcasting.
To obtain this VAST, it is important to provide us the following before activation:
a video file meeting all the specifications of video media file along with its ARPP approval
(if the video file is not available: provide us with VAST tag applied on the Ad server directly so that the video media file can be directly retrieved from there)if necessary, only one third-party print tracking pixel (not mandatory) (img pixel, in secure/https, not js pixel)
=> a francetvpub VAST tag will be returned to you within 24-48 working hours.
As a reminder about this IPTV platform on the DSP setup: no targeting/blacklist, no capping, no click, no pre-bid, no 3rd party tracking (visibility system, coverage/target group, etc.).
