FranceTV Publicité has been awarded the “Positive Company” label with a score of 2 stars.
“Positive Company” is a French corporate responsibility label. It is considered to be one of the most demanding in the world for its unique 360-degree approach. In addition to an internal audit – using benchmarks based on the highest international standards – the assessment also includes questionnaires targeting customers, partners, suppliers and company employees.
That is why we are proud and honoured to be the 1st audiovisual sales house to receive this distinction.
Of course, this commitment is rooted in deep convictions and has been a part of our daily operations for several years now.
It encompasses our constant priority of limiting our environmental impact. Since our first carbon assessment in 2009, we have been monitoring our greenhouse gas emissions and we offer our advertisers a carbon calculator which is now standard among all sales houses. As part of our initiative to promote environmentally friendly products and services, we have also led the way in launching the first Green screens, as well as a format called “Territoire Responsable” (Responsible Region). This motivates us to continue pursuing innovation.
We are also committed to addressing social issues. Every year, we directly support more than 120 associations, raising awareness of their causes, and we donate more than 1 million in advertising revenues to major causes, dedicating evening programmes to these issues on our channels. Our sales house is a partner of the Media Smart media education programme, a Union Des Marques initiative supported by the European Commission targeting primary and secondary school children. We constantly seek to improve our actions and remain useful, such as through “Goodvertising,” a new charity donation system.
Let’s get that 3rd star!
By getting two stars in our first application to Positive Company, our sales house directly joined the top 10 highest-ranking companies. But we’re not stopping there!
The environmental and social issues at hand push us to continuously improve our practices.
We are currently working on a roadmap to reduce our carbon footprint as part of the Science Based Targets Initiative, which ensures our compliance with the Paris agreements to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Our sales house is also committed to one project we feel very strongly about: accessibility. On the 21st of November 2023, World Television Day, we broadcast the first spots to be fully subtitled and translated into sign language. This first for France reaffirmed our sense of pride and was met with great public acclaim.
With the arrival of the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, we are now offering all advertisers the option of subtitling their advertising campaigns free of charge.
