Chapter 1
The Choice is Yours
Success is not about never failing, but rising every time you fall
––––––––
Do you want to become Successful or a Failure the choice is in your hand? I see some people of the same age as mine struggling and they have not achieved anything in their life yet, they are still stuck at the same level for many years and are not able to grow up in their career or life. Similarly, I’ve seen people who are half of my age becoming CEO of an organization and growing up in their career successfully. Have you ever thought why so? This question has always been intriguing in my mind. So I wanted to understand why this is happening. And when I thought about it, I felt something glaring at me that is the word Failure. Many of us, the moment we face failure we get petrified and do not want to overcome the challenge. We are satisfied or content with our mediocre routine life. Some of us wait for luck to happen. And we start cribbing saying that I‘m not lucky or Luck has not favored me but in reality, if you wait for luck to shine, it will never will. You have to go and get it. Winning requires sheer hard work and dedication. A dream with action is what will allow you to reach your outcome or goals. Many of us do not have faith in ourselves or self-belief, due to this one does not tries to overcome the challenges and achieve success in life and therefore people fail because they are not confident. They think what others will tell or get pulled down because of others comment. The negative codes in one’s mind pulls you down or stop you from doing things and that’s called the failure mindset.
For example, if you want to play guitar, and you want to be the best guitarist, but your mind says that it’s difficult, you cannot play it, then you will end up not playing the guitar. But instead, if you practice day in and day out, and then combine it with your positive thoughts, then you will become a winner. Just being overly positive alone will not make one successful but coupled with action it will make you successful.
––––––––
Failure is simply the opportunity to being again, this time more intelligently
...Henry Ford
––––––––
People end up becoming a failure because they never think of the challenges and opportunities which they will come across in the future, they are not prepared for the challenges which they will face or which will pull them down when they are ready to move. Most of us are less prepared for eventualities in life, though they know that there will be ups and downs in life yet they are underprepared to these challenges. People know there will be uncertainties in life yet they are not prepared and they become over complacent and they start to feel that problems do not impact them and cover themselves in this false hope. They don’t believe in themselves and blame the society for their failures.
People develop a failure mindset for various reasons. Few of the factors contributing to a failure mindset are
1. Previous failures or past negative experiences can create a fear of repeating those outcomes. The past setbacks make people hesitant to take risks or try out new things.
2. Low self-esteem can make individuals believe they are not capable of success. Self-doubt leads to missing out on opportunities and puts hurdles on growth.
3. Fear of being judged or criticized by others for failures can make one develop failure mindset.
4. Fixed mindset people may avoid challenges to protect themselves, since they could feel that failure could be perceived as sign of incompetence.
5. Habitually engaging in negative self-talk can create failure mindset and will make it difficult to see the potential
