About this ebook
'Climates in Crisis' is an educational guide. It summarizes an intensive two-year project in which my primary goal was to educate the public about climate change. When climate change became a political issue in 2019 during the 2020 presidential primaries, I felt an urgency to share with fellow Americans my scientific knowledge about climate change.
For those who are interested in learning more about climate change -- what it is, its history where you live, and how it impacts you today -- this guide is written for you!
'Climates in Crisis also brings to life a new climate change teaching tool identified as 'Tracking Climate change Locally (through) Weather' [TCCLW]. For those who identify themselves as 'hands-on' type individuals, this guide is a must read because TCCLW enables you to graphically track your climate change's history. With a little research, you can project what your climate is becoming and how that change might impact your future security, health and well-being.

I am a retired Nondestructive Testing Engineer/Manager living for the past twenty-five years with my wife Judy in Sarasota, Florida. At one point in my life, as a junior in college, I considered entering the field of meteorology. When that didn't materialize, I made a personal vow to become an amateur meteorologist and monitor the weather when I retired --- and that's what I did beginning in 1999.Unique lifetime weather experiences together with a very satisfactory eighteen years monitoring the local weather while volunteering as a Weather Spotter for the National Weather Service led me to write 'Whether To, Or Weather - Not To'.

Introduction
What a difference a degree Centigrade (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) makes! Who would believe that a one-degree difference in atmospheric temperature could lead to devastating wildfires, severe droughts, unprecedented tropical cyclones, or routine flooding in the streets of coastal cities?
But yes, this is what climate change is about! And yes, it also characterizes our present-day climate crisis! Just how bad is the crisis? Here are several examples: The top 20 warmest years in modern history have all occurred since 1997, based on data tracking back to
