Roger Sonnenberg
Roger Sonnenberg was a pastor to a large parish in California. He holds a master of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as a masters degree in psychotherapy from the American Institute of Family Relations in Los Angeles, California. He served as a part-time professor in the graduate marriage and family program at Concordia University at Seward, Nebraska, and an adjunct professor at Concordia University, Irvine, California. He lectures and conducts seminars throughout the United States and Canada on sexuality, marriage, and family relations. He served as the first vice president of the Pacific Southwest District (PSD) of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, as well as chairman of the board of directors of the PSD. He served as chairman of Family Shield in St. Louis, Missouri, and as a member of the Nightlight Adoption board of Orange County, California. He has authored many articles, studies, and books, including Parenting with Purpose and Parenting with Values, (two video-based parenting programs), 501 Ways to Love Your Wife and Children, 501 Ways to Love Your Grandkids and Their Parents, Human Sexuality, A Christian Perspective (Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis, MO), and Advent and Lenten Worship Services (2008, 2009 Creative Communications, St. Louis, MO). He writes regularly for magazines and publications throughout the United States. Roger and his wife, Robin, have been married for thirty-eight years and have one son, Jacob, who works as an analyst for a hedge fund in Manhattan, New York. Cartoonist: Kara Dannenbring is a prize-winning cartoonist who contributes frequently to newspapers in Orange County, California, and throughout the United States. Layout and Designer: Karen Hein McBride teaches desktop publishing at a local university and is a published author of technology-focused resources for educators.
