      To God be the praise and adoration for the opportunity given me to write the foreword of this unique book ‘Why People Have Delayed Marriage’ by Dr King Oladipo.

      I have had the opportunity of reading books (secular and Christian) and to the glory of God, here is one that stands out on its own. It stands out because of its uniqueness. Dr Oladipo has clearly and in simple-easy-to-read-and-understand manner, made the issue of delayed marriage a simple problem to get over. He has treated what marriage is all about, how not to give place to the devil while waiting for one’s partner, four reasons why people have delay in getting married (Spiritual, Cultural, Physical and Psychological), the effects of delayed marriage on the people concerned and the way out of delayed marriage.

      Dr Oladipo has provided steps on how to know the will of God and once for all, treated scripturally and clearly, how to hear from God.

      The Holy-Spirit-inspired 108 prayer points that are included in this book will assist the reader to deal with the stubborn roots of problems that have refused to bow all these years.

      INTRODUCTION

      A man or woman of marriageable age is expected to marry and live a happy life. In recent times, my observation as well as comments from other ministers of the gospel (particularly on the African continent) is that; the number of Christians of both genders experiencing delayed marriage has been on the increase, irrespective of tribe and social status. A survey carried out in the course of writing this book shows that first on the list of problems many Christians are facing is financial poverty, infirmities, barrenness and delayed marriage respectively.

      This observation has bothered me. I could not understand why people of God should suffer this kind of problem, so I began to seek the face of God on the issue. My belief has always been that ‘everyone that asks receives’ and I know that God not only reveals the deep and secret things, he also knows what is in the darkness and the light
