    R.E. Donald is the author of the Hunter Rayne Highway Mysteries series. Ruth worked in the transportation industry in various capacities for over 25 years and draws on her own experiences in creating the characters and situations in her novels. Ruth attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., where she studied languages (Russian, French and German) and creative writing to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree. She currently lives on a ranch in the Cariboo region of, B.C. She and her partner, a French Canadian cowboy named Gilbert Roy, enjoy their Canadian Horses (Le Cheval Canadien) and other animals.       Hunter Rayne mysteries never let you down. Always well written, well edited and, most importantly, very well plotted. Read and savor.

      Excellent book, tight plot and well written. The characters are likable and the solution well hidden until the end. I particularly liked the glimpse into the trucking world. I have ordered the next book in the series. I am hooked!

      I am hooked on the Hunter Rayne series. Can't wait to read which interstate is the next venue. The familiar territory makes these fun, and the characters and plot are fantastic.

      Another very satisfying read in the Hunter Rayne series. Hunter is a very introspective nuanced character, and the settings and plots are new and refreshing.
