      Har gham se anjaana achhaa

      हर ग़म से अंजाना अच्छा

      Raat tanha tanha

      रात तन्हा तन्हा

      dikhaa kar raah khud us par azaab

      दिखा कर राह खुद उस पर अज़ाब

      Sazaa khoobsurat jazaa khoobsurat

      सज़ा खूबसूरत जज़ा खूबसूरत

      Khaar se gul ne choaT hi khaai

      ख़ार से गुल ने चोट ही खाई

      Raahe-ulfat bhi kuchh ajeeb

      राहे उल्फ़त भी कुछ अजीब

      Yeh tanhaa diloN ki saughaat

      यह तन्हा दिलों की सौग़ात

      Dooba Dooba dil rehtaa hai

      डूबा डूबा दिल रहता है

      KhizaaN meiN umr guzree

      खिज़ां में उम्र गुज़री

      Chaaha tha ham ne jin ko dilo-jaan

      चाहा था हम ने जिन को दिलो-जान

      Is sulagti chaandni meiN

      इस सुलगती चांदनी में

      Kabhi yeh sochtaa huN maiN

      कभी यह सोचता हूँ मैं

      JhaDee aansuoN ki

      झड़ी आंसुओं की

      KaTate haiN zindagi ke

      कटते हैं ज़िन्दगी के

      तेरी तंगदिली का साक़ी मेरा दिल हुआ
