Amy Gamet

I'm a USA Today bestselling author with three kids, a husband, a slightly stinky and poorly trained dog, and an ancient calico cat who doesn't like people. My house is in a perpetual state of disarray despite my constant attempts to clean it. Old women at grocery stores tell me how lucky I am, that it all goes so fast, and I nod my head and say something pithy like, "It sure does!" while trying to keep the baby from changing the language on the card reader screen or voiding my entire transaction. I'm that woman. People ask when I find time to write, and I point to my husband, the sweet frazzled sight of him as he hoses down a screaming child with one hand and unloads the dishwasher with the other. That, my friends, is romance. Well, it's what the best romances turn into if you're lucky. As you read this, I'm probably putting someone into time-out, cleaning something, or explaining to my progeny why I put him/her into time-out or why I shouldn't have to clean whatever it was I just cleaned. Or maybe, if your timing is just perfectly right, I'm sitting on the purple reclining loveseat in a basement full of toys, writing my next big novel while my husband takes care of the chaos for a while. For him, and for the kids and the stinky, cranky pets, and for the opportunity to tell you a story, I am grateful. I hope you enjoy my work.

This was my first time reading this author and I have to say that I enjoyed this book. So "Hawk" is on his way to avenge his friend's murder and Olivia is running from her own wedding when they have an accident in the mountains during a snow storm. Olivia ends up with amnesia. While stranded they try to figure out why she's there, while he tries to continue with his mission but their attraction for each other is front and center heating up the place. I love books where the characters are stranded so this was right up my alley. There was so much mystery and drama involved with this story, I didn't a lot of time trying to figure out what was going on. However the Non fire made heat in that cabin had me sweating. The chemistry with Olivia and Hawk was crazy. But she's a bride.. isn't she… yeah had me curious too. Really good book.

    3.75 Stars for me.

This is the first book I have read by Amy Gamet and I will continue to read the series.

What I liked was the building of the relationship, the fear the h feels under the circumstances and the single minded focus of the H. There were times that I wanted to shake some sense into him but hus tunnel vision was understandable.

My problem is the ending. The h throws a tantrum when it comes to killing the bad guy... even though if they didn't, a good guy would have been killed.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Good book, but honestly I want to slap her sister.
