Every dog has its day

My young family and I were on our way home after a wonderful Christmas holiday on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. It was December 1990 – times were tough, and we shared a place with my brother and had a relaxing time. But no matter how much we wanted to stay longer, the time had unfortunately come to return home.

Back then, I drove an Opel Kadett T-Car 1.6LS. It was a lovely car that hadn’t yet caused any problems. Sure, it wasn’t the most enticing colour, but it was the first car that was all mine.
