Rich Caccappolo

Rich Caccappolo joined MailOnline as Chief Operating Officer in 2013 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of its parent group, dmg media, in November 2021. He has spent his career building and improving businesses by designing and implementing technology applications whilst optimising operations. His expertise has spanned content publishing, e-commerce, interactive and community features and digital monetisation.
Rich has been a driving force behind the commercial success of MailOnline, the world’s largest English-language news site. Prior to joining the dmg media family, Rich was Director of Technology and New Media for the American Democratic Party politician, Bob Kerrey, Chief Technology Officer for eMusic, President of Creative Commerce at LLC, and Chief Technology Officer of iVillage.
Danny Groom

Danny joined the Daily Mail in 1998 where he was Associate News Editor for 5 years. He moved across to The Observer after being appointed Deputy News Editor, before going on to become Head of News at The Independent where he was also Assistant Editor. 2008 saw him return to dmg media as UK Editor of MailOnline. He was instrumental in the launch of MailOnline’s US operation, DailyMail.com, in 2010, taking on the role of US Editor for 3 years in New York. He returned to resume his role as UK Editor of MailOnline in 2013. In 2022, Danny was appointed Editor and Publisher of MailOnline.
James Welsh

James Welsh has been dmg media’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer since November 2021. James rejoined dmg media from his role as Deputy CFO for DMGT, having spent the previous eight years as CFO & Operations Director for dmg media. James has been with dmg media since 2010, prior to which, he spent 15 years working across the UK and Europe in a number of commercial finance and change management roles, including Finance Director of PC World and Link stores at Dixons Retail.
Paul Dacre

Paul Dacre joined the Group as US Bureau Chief in 1979. Appointed Editor of the Evening Standard in 1990 he was appointed Editor of the Daily Mail in 1992 and Editor-in-Chief of Associated Newspapers in 1998, years which saw the launches of Metro and MailOnline. After stepping aside as Editor, after 26 years, Paul Dacre was appointed Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Associated Newspapers in 2018. In November 2021, he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of dmg media.
Neil Wood

Neil was appointed Chief Financial Officer of dmg media in 2022, taking on functional responsibility across the division. Prior to joining he was brought in by major shareholder, Oakley Capital, as interim Chief Financial Officer of Time Out Group PLC, where his strategic leadership helped navigate the company during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was also Finance Director for the Heathrow third runway expansion, served as both CFO and board member for The British Business Bank and The London Olympics, and a member of the 2020 Dubai Expo advisory board.
Vere Harmsworth

Vere Harmsworth joined dmg media in 2020, and served as Managing Director of Mail+ until 2023, when he took on the role of Director of Publishing Strategy. Before dmg media, Vere worked at Boston Consulting Group. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford.
Neil Finlayson
chief technology officer, dmg media
Neil Finlayson joined MailOnline in 2013 taking on a number of operational and information security roles before being appointed to Chief Information Officer, dmg media in 2021 and in April 2023 he was appointed to Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this, Neil worked at VocaLink supporting realtime payment systems and NHS Connecting for Health. His roles have had a focus on improving technology operations and information security.
Roland Agambar

Roland is a seasoned media professional who has worked at the top level of the UK media publishing scene for over two decades. He moved to his current CEO role in Harmsworth in September 2023 from MD of Mail Newspapers. Roland joined dmg media in 2010 as Chief Marketing Officer, taking on wider responsibility for circulation, commerce in 2015 and becoming MD in 2021. Roland spent the previous twenty years working in the media industry for major organisations such as Aegis media agency and News Corp where he was Marketing Director of The Sun and News of the World.
Nina Wright

Following the acquisition of New Scientist, where Nina was CEO, to DMGT, she became CEO of newly created Harmsworth Media (housing New Scientist & inews) with the ambition to build a long-term recurring revenue media business. Today Nina is the Chair of Harmsworth Media.
Nina’s experience spans both consumer and B2B media and events, including at UBM & Informa. Renowned for strategy creation, businesses turnaround and driving transformational growth. Nina has a strong reputation for building dynamic leadership teams, acquiring & integrating businesses, skilled at digital NPD, international growth, and implementing new customer-centric technology.
Nina is also the Chair of the Professional Publishers Association and the Chair of FIDO Tech, an AI led start up.

Ted Verity

Ted Verity was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Mail across all platforms in 2024. He joined the Daily Mail as a News Reporter in 1991. He was Royal Reporter for two years before being made Femail Editor in 1996. Ted spent four years in Ireland where he was launch Editor of the Irish Daily Mail. He was appointed Editor of The Mail on Sunday in September 2018, and Editor of Mail Newspapers in 2021.
David Dillon

David Dillon joined The Mail on Sunday in 2001. During his time as News Editor his department won the coveted News Team of The Year award three times. He later held the roles of Executive Editor and Deputy Editor. David was appointed Editor of The Mail on Sunday in 2021.

Felicity Hetherington

Felicity joined Daily Mail Australia as an assistant editor in 2016 before being promoted to deputy editor in 2017. She came to dmg media from News Corp Australia where she spent 10 years as news editor and deputy editor at news.com.au and heraldsun.com.au. She was appointed editor of Daily Mail Australia in 2024.
Deborah Arthurs

Deborah originally joined the Daily Mail on the Femail desk in 2001. In 2003, she was made part of the launch team for the paper’s Lifestyle section, going on to work as writer and Commissioning Editor for the section. In 2006, Deborah joined the launch team of Associated Newspaper title, London Lite and she went on to edit a number of features sections within the paper. In 2008, she was appointed Femail Editor for MailOnline, during which time the team expanded into New York and Australia and also launched the e-commerce tool, Fashion Finder. She was appointed Editor of Metro.co.uk in 2014 and Editor-in-Chief of Metro in 2023.

Cat is an award-winning science journalist and author. She studied human sciences at University College London and Science Communication at Imperial, and has been on staff at New Scientist for almost a decade.
During that time she has held a number of positions across the editorial team, including head of features and magazine editor, as well as leading our coverage of the coronavirus pandemic. Her latest book Brain Power: Everything you need to know for a healthy, happy brain covers the everyday ways we can look after our brains as we age.
Oliver Duff

Oliver Duff is Editor-in-Chief of the i paper and inews.co.uk. Appointed in 2013, he has led i’s transformation from a print operation to become a digital subscriptions newsroom. Under his editorship, i has been named the UK’s most trusted national news brand (PAMCo), News Website of the Year and Newspaper of the Year. He has also launched the popular iweekend edition. The UK’s youngest national editor, Oliver previously worked at The Independent for a decade, where was Executive Editor, responsible for news and investigations. He was formerly a news editor, reporter and gossip columnist.
