Tennessee Titans plan to bench Will Levis after humiliation with ex-girlfriend watching
Will Levis is set to be benched for Sunday's game between his Tennessee Titans team and the Indianapolis Colts.
The quarterback had a nightmare on Sunday, when he was benched mid-game during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati Bengals wit his ex-girlfriend Gia Duddy watching from the stands.
The Titans are last in the AFC South on a 3-11 record after Sunday's loss and have won just once in their last six games.
Levis' final stat-line from the loss to Cincinnati was 8-for-12 passing for 89 yards, with three interceptions and a lost fumble. One of his interceptions to Geno Stone was returned for a touchdown.
He was benched midway through the game in favor of Mason Rudolph, who threw 26 passes and two touchdowns in relief. Rudolph is now in line to start Sunday.
The switch was first reporterd by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, who said: 'The Tennessee Titans are planning to make a switch at quarterback this week, source told ESPN. Mason Rudolph is the logical candidate to step in for starter Will Levis, who likely heads to the bench barring surprise.'

Duddy and Levis broke up last summer, with the two being in the same location again Sunday
Levis and Duddy, meanwhile, were an item for several months, with the latter turning the attention she got sitting beside the Titans quarterback during his NFL Draft night in 2023 into a career as a social-media influencer.
Levis was mooted by many to be a first round pick that night but endured the embarrassment of being left until the second round, when the Titans eventually took him.
Duddy and Levis broke up before his NFL debut last year, with the duo not seen together in public, or known to be in the same place, since. That was, until Duddy was a guest of Raising Cane's in Nashville for the game.
Sitting beside four friends, Duddy looked to be living her best life, not conflicted by seeing her ex-boyfriends name in bright lights, or throwing three passes to Bengals players.
After Sunday's game, the Titans round out their regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans.
The 25-year-old Levis now faces an uncertain future, especially with the Titans looking like they are going to have a high pick in the 2025 Draft.
Speaking of the mid-game switch after the game on Sunday, Titans head coach Brian Callahan said: 'We just needed some momentum.
'We needed something to spark us a bit. We had three turnovers in a really tight amount of time. That gave them some points... I just felt like we needed something.
'Not everything's on the quarterback, but he's the one that's going to take the most heat when those decisions happen.'
