His 90th minute strike at the Etihad has only strengthened his position as an integral figure in future of United's young team that is attempting to rebuild under Amorim.

Final details are currently being ironed out but there isn't expected to be any issues in Amad putting pen-to-paper on a contract that is rewarding of his recent performances.

Amad is keen to stay at the club that first brought him to English football when former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer instructed United bosses to fork out £37m in January 2021 for the Atalanta academy talent.
First-team boss Amorim is getting the best out of the youngster who burst through under Erik ten Hag last season before being dropped in favour of Antony prior to the Dutchman being sacked.
His efforts in training and on matchday have earned him the respect of his fellow team-mates who have been impressed by Amad's dedication to improving the club's current fortunes.
He has two goals and six assists this season and has offered versatility to United's new manager by impressing in a right-wing back role and also further up the pitch where his pace and trickery has become a nightmare for defenders to deal with.
Club catain Bruno Fernandes hailed Amad as 'unstoppable' following his pivotal contribution to United's derby victory at the Etihad and insisted there is still more to come from the Ivorian.
'He's been doing great things and there's a lot more to come. He's always active, always alive and this is why he gets the penalty and his goal,' he told BBC Sport at the time.

'He's been brilliant but I shouldn't say much as we need to keep him going as we need him at this level. Like this he is unstoppable.
'He is eager for more. When you do the right things you get your chances, you get goals, you get momentum', Fernandes added.
'He has been really good for us. I want to keep him under the radar so that he goes still more and more because I want Amad to do this every game.
'We know we have a quality team but not everyone has shown their quality at its best.'
