Newcastle midfielder Lewis Miley has signed a lucrative deal to become sportswear giants Under Armour’s face of the north.
Mail Sport can reveal the teenage midfielder has signed a multi-year contract with the American firm after his previous deal with Adidas expired.
We revealed in January that the planet’s most prominent sportswear companies were fighting to sign Miley to a long-term contract and it has now emerged Under Armour have won the race.
Miley is Under Armour’s latest footballing acquisition after Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger joined their roster last year.
Having lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to Adidas, Under Armour had prioritised a statement and vibrant Premier League signing to be the face of their northern operations - particularly in the north east.

And Miley’s emergence as one of English football’s most exciting talents has seen the sports brand make a major play for the 18-year-old, who they believe will be a fixture in the national team in the not too distant future.
His good-looks and appeal to the young generation of football supporter were also key towards Under Armour identifying Miley as a priority target.
Having missed the first three months of the season with a foot injury, Miley is currently focussed on working his way back into Newcastle’s starting XI.
Miley made his long-awaited come back in the Carabao Cup win over Chelsea last week, coming on as a late substitute.
The brand views Miley as a top talent and an increasingly major player in Eddie Howe's squad
The youngster’s return to fitness comes as a major boost to head coach Eddie Howe as he looks to navigate a busy fixture schedule heading into the winter months.
Miley was one of Newcastle’s success stories last season, making 19 starts and a further nine off the bench in his breakthrough campaign.
But while his progress has been stifled by injury this season, Miley is set to be a key option for Howe between now and the end of the current campaign.
