Guardiola: 'Bournemouth had the intensity'
We knew we couldn't match the intensity. We have talked about it. It was an open game. We had chances at the end but I congratulate Bournemouth for the victory.
The 50-50 balls in the middle, the duels, they play this type of game. They are so aggressive. They had six-seven days to prepare. They have physicality and speed, but you have to win these types of situations.
And they had chances. Ederson made a good save. We had real good moments at the start of the second half and after that it was difficult to swallow as we were good. After we scored we had momentum and chances but couldn't score [again].

Slot: 'We just kept running'
We needed another second-half performance but because we were outplayed in the first half. They were better on the ball, more aggressive without the ball. Then, everything changed in the second half because it was completely the opposite.
Our attackers scored the goals but the main difference was we were better positioned and we had the ball a lot more. Without the ball they made problems for us but in the second half we just kept running.
It's more if you play against Arsenal in their stadium and you can get a draw away from home. Brighton are a very strong team as well, they have shown this season.
If you face a team like this and are 1-0 down and can come back to a 2-1 win which in my opinion was deserved that gives me a lot of confidence. More than the position we are in.

'Liverpool found a way'
That was a classic game of two halves. Liverpool found a way and what a day it has turned out to be for Arne Slot's side. Brighton will regret those missed chances in the first half but when Anfield is rocking and Liverpool are flowing, there aren't many better sights in world football.

'Liverpool come out firing'
Liverpool have come out firing after the break. They've got that bit between their teeth and Anfield is rocking. First, Alexis Mac Allister is denied by a stunning save from Bart Verbruggen before Virgil van Dijk misses an absolute sitter. This is so much better from Arne Slot's men.

'Some finish'
That is some finish from Ferdi Kadioglu. When I was at the Fenerbahce training ground last month to interview Fred and Sofyan Amrabat, those at the club talked about how much they were missing Kadioglu, who joined Brighton in the summer for £25M. Now you can see what Fenerbahce are missing. Anfield is silenced.

'Great atmosphere at Anfield'
There is a great atmosphere at Anfield today, with a 'Stop Exploiting Loyalty' banner in the Kop as a nod to extortionate ticket prices across the Premier League. A bold shout from Arne Slot to start Kostas Tsimikas at left back - this is a chance for the Greek to prove he is ahead of Andy Robertson in the pecking order, which would be a big blow to the Scotland captain. I am excited to watch Brighton in the flesh, one of my favourite teams to watch.

400 up for Young
Ashley Young’s 400th Premier League start is an impressive achievement for the 39-year-old. Just six weeks ago, Young cost Everton a Carabao Cup tie against Southampton by missing a penalty in the shoot-out.
Since then, he’s been a major part of Everton’s five-game unbeaten league run and he’ll face the same opponents today with confidence high

Slot: 'Normal to play same teams often'
In football, we are used to playing the same team [again] after a few days. Both teams didn't start [on Wednesday] with the same team they will start with on Saturday. I think with both managers it is a positive thing because you know a little bit more about the opponent.
The way we filled in the number nine position was interesting because I thought it worked really well. In the end I prefer to play with a real number nine but it is not a possibility if we have injuries. It was good to score three goals without playing with an old-fashioned number nine.
